We know that there are franchises that become extremely popular worldwide and one of them is Pokémon, an unforgettable classic that has marked generations of fans and that for various reasons has been renewed in recent years. This is why new characters have joined this wonderful adventure, but some of them have caused laughter among fans because of their curious names.
Pokémon Horizons makes fans laugh
If we talk about anime and characters that somehow grew up with us, many would immediately think of Satoshi, better known as Ash Ketchum in America, and his inseparable friend and adventure companion Pikachu, who taught us the value of perseverance, friendship, effort and not giving up until we achieve our goals.
A beautiful moment that the world celebrated and that would go down in posterity as something unforgettable, however, many wondered what would happen to them if they had already fulfilled their dream, how would the franchise continue without this amazing duo. But the journey had to continue with new characters and in order not to leave out the antagonists and not to leave the void of the beloved Team Rocket, a group known as The Explorers was included.
The scouts will do their best to affect the new and cute protagonist of Pokémon Horizons, Liko, whom they have tried to trick on multiple occasions. The members of this new team of villains are: Hamber, Zir, Amethio, Conia, Agete, Onyx, Sango, Spinel. But especially Onyx and Sango are the ones who do their best to sneak around with so many witticisms so that Liko and her friends fall into their traps, although they don’t always work, they do make us laugh in this video.
It is worth noting that all the members of The Explorers in Pokémon Horizons have references to different gemstones in their names, with Onyx referring to the gemstone Onyx and Sango to the mineral Coral Pearl. Recently, these two cute characters became a trend among fans for a fragment in which we see them using rather peculiar names that were improvised and ultimately sparked laughter.
Inspired by food, but without leaving aside their original names, Onyx dubiously introduces himself as Onigiri, while Sango is introduced as Sandwich, amidst the uncontainable laughter of Sango and the fans, this is undoubtedly one of the funniest moments of the first season and third arc of Pokémon Horizons. At first, fans asked what anime this funny clip was about and some of them were amazed to discover that it was about Pokémon, so they could see that even without Ash, they still have their good moments. Undoubtedly this journey was incredible, many people joined the trip at different times and friends who remained by his side and supported him even in the distance, with memorable moments. But Ash’s journey, like life itself, had to close a stage and after several decades, we finally witnessed the long-awaited epic moment where he finally became the best Pokémon trainer and fulfilled his long-awaited dream.
Pokémon Horizons stars two new protagonists, Liko and Roy, who team up with the Rising Volt Tacklers, a group of adventurers who explore the Pokémon world and visit various regions, including the Paldea region, which was introduced in Scarlet and Violet. While doing so, they are pursued by The Explorers, a mysterious organization that seeks Liko’s pendant for unknown reasons and will do everything in their power to get it.
