Palworld

Palworld: Pocketpair’s amazing game adds a new achievement

From the very first moment of its release and from the analysis of its previews, Palworld had something very strange within its entire setting and it was and continues to be the impressive resemblance to Pokémon, a franchise that has been positioned in the gaming industry since the 90’s thanks in part to Game Freak and its profitable partnership with The Pokémon Company. In a matter of a year, Pocketpair, developer of the title, managed to do something almost impossible for any indie game, not only selling an enormous amount of copies, but also surpassing 30 million players on all platforms where it is available.

Palworld thanks its fans on networks and promises new surprises in 2025

Palworld

Thanks to its huge success in sales, and a huge freedom in the market, the first controversy arose on September 19, which was not at all minor: A class action lawsuit between Nintendo and The Pokemon Company towards Pocketpair for “patent infringement”, a lawsuit that has not been resolved and the main reason why the title has not reached the Nintendo Switch and most likely we will never find it in the catalog of the long-awaited successor. Takuro Mizobe responded that the copied patents have not been specified and that they would face the lawsuit for their followers and to ensure that small developers are not hindered or discouraged from developing creative ideas.

However, this demand proved more beneficial to Pocketpair and their best project at the moment: Palworld, who continued to accumulate players to the point of reaching over 32,000,000 at this point. Its success lies not only in the customization of characters, but also in the enormous variety of creatures or Pals that we can encounter, mini monsters that can be adorable, grumpy or mysterious. Another feature of Pocketpair’s title and not at all minor, is that, despite being an “indie” title, it contains graphics that are even better than many titles from large AAA studios, the setting is spectacular and each Pal has a huge level of detail.

Throughout this year, Palworld has also made events and challenges, in addition to including new Pals and weapons, keeping its title constantly updated, moving and fresh, but the most surprising thing is its originality and innovation, because our companions have the ability to use all kinds of weapons available in the world. The video game developed by Pocketpair has had a partnership for a year with Xbox Game Pass, being found in this service in exchange for the subscription or for an affordable cost for everything it offers, on Steam is a little more accessible and on PlayStation

The journey does not end here for Palworld because it is already preparing many more surprises that will arrive between 2025 and 2026, including:

>Multi-platform cooperative mode
>Transfer of worlds for Pals
>Final Boss / Final Scenario
>More ways to strengthen companions
>New Pals and new technologies
>Collaboration with other games including Terraria
>Improvements in the location of objects
>Improvements at existing Pals
>Optimization improvements
>UX (User Experience) enhancements

Palworld is an action-adventure video game developed by the Japanese company Pocketpair. This title, which combines elements of games such as Pokémon with survival and construction mechanics, generated great expectation after being tested by part of the gamer community. This is an indie title from the same creators of another hit: Craftopia. Palworld allows users to capture and train creatures called Pals to build bases and explore a vast open world. The game was initially released in early access for PC and Xbox Series X/S in early 2024, and in the fall of 2024, it came to PlayStation 5.
