The Otaku community is always active in any part of the world, and as we know, many of the interests that this social group has in common comes from the Asian continent, mainly anime. And not surprisingly, there are also many controversies that come from that part of the world. Today we will talk about one of the many topics that become viral through the network.
Otakus support idea of men wearing skirts
If we have learned anything about the uses and scope of the Internet and social networks, we can say that a comment or personal opinion posted in these places can have a great impact, either positively or negatively. What we can also say is that regardless of what is published, some will support it, while others will just ignore it or “hate” it.
The otaku community is never out of different forums, and of course of controversies that start with a comment. Well, recently, through his official Twitter account, Tanaka Nun, has shared a publication where he has mentioned one of the reasons why girls and boys wear skirts. And this, of course, did not go unnoticed by followers.
To simplify, this is what she says: for girls it’s better not to “cool” the bottom, while for guys it’s preferable to keep that bottom cool and free of heat. And to finish his tweed he adds that it’s the “cute boys” who should naturally wear skirts. This started to generate a lot of comments among otaku, among which some supported the idea and others sarcastically said that the opposite should also apply.
Let’s remember that Tanaka Nun, is a mangaka who creates stories around cross-dressing, all full of what he has mentioned, cute guys, popularly among the otaku community as “Traps“, plus he also shows his interest in photography and cameras. He has published through Manga Home, and the title, “Am I the only one who doesn’t cross-dress?”, is currently being serialized.
That is, that cute girls should also wear pants, something that is common nowadays. But others have begun to say that in other latitudes and reviewing some cultures of mankind; the skirt was already a garment used for a long time by men, with an important cultural significance, but at some point in history it stopped being used so often, although of course not everywhere in the world.
What we can notice is that among all these comments, many coincided in saying that it would be nice to wear this garment regardless of gender, because they consider it is comfortable, and highlighting that not only “cute guys” would have the right to wear them. Finally, the otakus think that nowadays, this does not have to be a problem, but a free expression, because everyone can use what they prefer. What do you think?
