The anime adaptation of Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari’s popular manga, Oshi no Ko, has shared new information about its highly anticipated third season. To the fortune of fans, it was revealed that the anime Oshi no Ko will return in the course of the year 2026 and a stunning visual image featuring Aqua and Ruby Hoshino, the main characters of the series, has been unveiled.
It is worth noting that this interesting round of news was revealed to the public at the “Ichigo Production Fan Kansha-sai 2025” (Ichigo Production Fan Appreciation 2025) event, which was held today. Recall that the third season of the anime Oshi no Ko was announced after the end of the broadcast of the second season of the series.

Oshi no Ko is a drama genre manga written by Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari (Kuzu no Honkai). The work began publication in Shueisha Publishing House’s Weekly Young Jump magazine in April 2020 and ended last November 14, 2024.
In addition, Shueisha Publishing has collected the manga in a total of 16 compilation volumes to date and currently has over 20 million copies in circulation. Due to the good reception from the public, an anime adaptation for the manga by Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari was announced in June 2022.
The respective anime adaptation of the manga Oshi no Ko premiered on television in Japan on April 12, 2023 and consists of 2 seasons (24 episodes in total). The series was produced by the animation studio Doga Kobo (Plastic Memories, Dumbbell Nan Kilo Moteru?, Gabriel DropOut) and was legally broadcast in the West through the HIDIVE platform. The series is currently available legally in America through the Netflix platform.

His wish comes true when Ai shows up at his hospital, not sick, but pregnant with twins. As the doctor promises Ai to bring her children into the world, he wonders if this encounter with the idol will forever change the nature of his relationship with her.
