Today the news began to spread on social networks that the popular story of Oshi no Ko would be entering its last arc in the manga starting next week, in the 30/2024 edition of Weekly Young Jump magazine. This news took by surprise many of the fans who faithfully follow the story on a weekly basis, and as expected, caused all kinds of reactions, which manifested mainly through the Twitter/X platform, we will tell you what were some of the most popular comments about the issue.
Some people commented that it was a very wise decision to end the Oshi no Ko manga at this time so as not to make the mistake of many mangakas of dragging out their stories too much, thus losing the sense of the plot. One person added a rather interesting comment, as he said that the previous manga by Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai), who is in charge of writing the Oshi no Ko story, was a year into its final arc. Oshi no ko is a manga written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari that began its publication in Shūeisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine in April 2020, with 14 volumes published to date. The first season of its anime adaptation began airing in April 2023 and was produced by Doga Kobo studio. Something that contributed to the success of the anime was the opening song called “Idol” performed by the Japanese duo “Yoasobi”, which became very popular in social networks, bringing more recognition and interest in this anime.
