With the revelation that the long-awaited second season of the anime series based on Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari’s popular manga, Oshi no Ko, is scheduled to premiere in 2024, fans are patiently waiting for the anime’s production committee to release new information about its upcoming premiere.
However, the wait for new information about the new installment of Oshi no Ko will come to an end next March, as it has been announced that the franchise will be present at the “Anime Japan 2024” event with a special surprise for fans of this series that has given a lot to talk about since the broadcast of its first episode.
Oshi no Ko Season 2 to reveal new information soon
According to the official media report for the anime adaptation of the manga “Oshi no Ko“, the franchise will hold a special presentation on March 24 of this year at the “Anime Japan 2024” event, which will feature the participation of voice actor and actresses Takeo Ootsuka (voice of Aqua Hoshino), Manaka Iwami (voice of Akane Kurokawa) and Megumi Han (voice of Kana Arima).
According to several reports, in this special presentation more information about the long-awaited second season of the anime Oshi no Ko will be released, so we will have to wait approximately 2 months to know these new updates, among which a possible premiere date and promotions are expected.
Oshi no Ko is a drama genre manga written by Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari (Kuzu no Honkai). The work began publication in Shueisha Publishing House’s Weekly Young Jump magazine in April 2020. In addition, Shueisha has released a total of 13 compilation volumes to date. Due to the good reception from the public, an anime adaptation was announced for production in June 2022.
The anime series corresponding to the Oshi no Ko manga premiered on television in Japan on April 12, 2023 and consists of 11 episodes. The series was produced by the animation studio Doga Kobo (Plastic Memories, Dumbbell Nan Kilo Moteru?, Gabriel DropOut) and was legally broadcast in the West through the HIDIVE platform.
