A live broadcast on the official YouTube channel of the anime adaptation of the manga “Oshi no Ko” has presented new updates about the expected second season of the series. Among this new information, the premiere date of the new installment of the anime Oshi no Ko stands out, and it was confirmed that it will begin its broadcasting on Japanese television from July 3 of this year.
However, that’s not all, since along with this incredible news, the official media of the TV anime “Oshi no Ko” also presented an exciting promotional video that gives fans a small preview of what we can see in this new season.
Oshi no Ko Season 2 will be released on July 3, 2024.
As some of you may know, the summer season is getting closer and closer, so it is something normal that the anime corresponding to this season begin to provide the public with the latest details about their production. Oshi no Ko would not be the exception and in their respective official media confirmed that the artist “GEMN” will be in charge of performing the opening theme song of the second season of the series and it will be titled “Fatale“.
Additionally, a new visual image for “Oshi no Ko Season 2” has been presented, which puts us in context about the story of the second season. This will focus on a 2.5D drama titled “Tokyo Blade“, an adaptation of a manga included in this season’s narrative.
Along with this round of news, the production committee of the anime “Oshi no Ko” announced that an advance screening of the first episode will be held on June 30 this year, which will feature some of the voice actors who will participate in the series. In addition, it was also mentioned that a screening of the first two episodes of the second season of Oshi no Ko will also be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center on July 6.
As previously mentioned, the story of “Oshi no Ko” Season 2 will be centered on a 2.5D drama titled “Tokyo Blade“. In the story told by the series, this play is an adaptation of a manga, and the play will feature Kana Arima, Akane Kurokawa, Aqua Hoshino in the role of the characters “Tsurugi“, “Sayahime” and “Touki“.
Oshi no Ko is a drama genre manga written by Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari (Kuzu no Honkai). The work began publication in Shueisha Publishing House’s Weekly Young Jump magazine in April 2020. In addition, Shueisha has released a total of 13 compilation volumes to date. Due to the good reception from the public, an anime adaptation was announced for production in June 2022.
The anime series corresponding to the Oshi no Ko manga premiered on television in Japan on April 12, 2023 and consists of 11 episodes. The series was produced by the animation studio Doga Kobo (Plastic Memories, Dumbbell Nan Kilo Moteru?, Gabriel DropOut) and was legally broadcast in the West through the HIDIVE platform.
