Oshi no Ko unveiled the official cover of its final volume

Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari’s popular manga, Oshi no Ko, has come to an end and to celebrate, the stunning official cover of the 16th and final compilation volume of the work has been unveiled to the public.

In addition, the official website of the publisher Shueisha presented more details about the final volume of the Oshi no Ko manga. The release date of this volume is scheduled for 18 December this year and the volume will contain a total of 290 pages, including 24 pages exclusive to the volume.

In addition, a special edition has also been confirmed for release, which will include some surprises for fans who purchase this version.

Oshi no Ko is a drama genre manga written by Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari (Kuzu no Honkai). The work began publication in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine in April 2020. In addition, Shueisha has released a total of 15 compilation volumes to date and previously, the work was reported to have surpassed 18 million copies in circulation. Due to the good reception from the public, an anime adaptation was announced for June 2022.

The anime series corresponding to the Oshi no Ko manga premiered on television in Japan on 12 April 2023 and consists of 2 seasons (24 episodes in total). The series was produced by the animation studio Doga Kobo (Plastic Memories, Dumbbell Nan Kilo Moteru?, Gabriel DropOut) and was legally broadcast in the West via the HIDIVE platform.

The anime Oshi no Ko will have a third season.

At the end of the second season of the anime ‘Oshi no Ko’, the series’ official media announced the production of a third season. The new series does not yet have a premiere date, but more details are expected to be announced as the months go by.

The anime Oshi no Ko has the following description: The series’ storyline features a unique focus on showbiz and fanaticism, and in it, we are introduced to Ai Hoshino, a talented and beautiful 16-year-old idol who is adored by her fans. With his world completely turned upside down, Gorou faces a new challenge as he discovers that show business is full of obstacles and that talent alone does not guarantee success.

On his journey to protect Ai’s smile, Gorou enlists the help of an eccentric and unexpected ally. Together, they embark on an adventure filled with intrigue, rivalries and unimaginable challenges. As Gorou enters the world of show business from a unique and transformative perspective, he is faced with difficult decisions and questions the boundaries of love and loyalty.
