In the official media dedicated to the anime adaptation of the hit manga “Oshi no Ko“, special images highlighting the characters Kana Arima and Akane Kurokawa have been revealed. These visuals were designed for the purpose of celebrating the Christmas holiday in Japan and were presented by the series’ production committee.
In a warm gesture to the franchise’s fans, the committee expressed their best Christmas wishes to all those who have been closely following the releases. Merry Christmas to all “Oshi no Ko” viewers.
Oshi no Ko: Kana and Akane get together to celebrate Christmas
In June of this year, the anime adaptation of the Oshi no Ko manga announced the production of a second season. Months later, it was confirmed that this new installment of the series is scheduled to premiere in Japan in the course of 2024.
The anime adaptation of the manga “Oshi no Ko” began its broadcast on Japanese television on April 12 of this year and consisted of a total of 11 episodes, which are distributed in 6 Blu-Ray/DVD volumes. The series was produced by the animation studio “Doga Kobo” and aired on the HIDIVE platform.
“Oshi no Ko” presents a story full of surprises and unexpected twists and turns. With a unique focus on show business and fanaticism, “Oshi no Ko” introduces us to Ai Hoshino, a talented and beautiful 16-year-old idol who is adored by her fans. However, behind her image as a pure young maiden hides a dark and complex side.
Gorou Amemiya, a rural gynecologist and fervent admirer of Ai, is caught in a twist of fate when the pregnant idol arrives at his hospital. Although Gorou promises to provide her with a safe delivery, her encounter with a mysterious figure results in her own untimely death, or so he believes.
When Gorou opens her eyes, she finds herself in the arms of her beloved idol, but there is one surprising detail: she has been reborn as Aquamarine Hoshino, Ai’s newborn son. With his world completely upended, Gorou faces a new challenge as he discovers that show business is full of obstacles and that talent alone does not guarantee success.
On his journey to protect Ai’s smile, Gorou enlists the help of an eccentric and unexpected ally. Together, they embark on an adventure filled with intrigue, rivalries and unimaginable challenges. As Gorou enters the world of show business from a unique and transformative perspective, he is faced with difficult decisions and questions the boundaries of love and loyalty.
