After several years in publication and with an anime series that became one of the best, the popular work Oshi no Ko came to an end, and the story of revenge and the B-side of the entertainment world finally had the denouement that was expected some time ago. And although for many it wasn’t what they really wanted and has even been in the eye of controversy for a few chapters now, the relevance of Oshi no Ko in the world of manga and anime will be irrefutable. After four years in publication, Oshi no Ko manga comes to an end
After weeks that have shocked much of the internet and more than four years since its inception, the popular work Oshi no Ko finally reached its final denouement, which showed us the loss of one of the most important characters after consummating his long-awaited revenge. As many of you may know, Aqua Hoshino, one of the main characters of the show, lost his life after a series of events that were necessary for him to accomplish his revenge.
And this ending, which was already known since a few chapters ago, which really showed us the loss of this character, was really confirmed with this last chapter and strongly divided the community about whether the author Aka Akasaka rushed the ending to focus on other projects. Likewise, this denouement began to give rise to new theories about whether the work will continue with a spin-off, showing the career of Ruby, who is the protagonist of the final panel.
As you can see, this last moment shows the same girl, one of the main characters of Oshi no Ko, saying goodbye before leaving home and with a little reflection, to show a picture where we see her late mother, AI Hoshino, together with Aqua himself and promising to do her best in her career:
On the other hand, and as part of the celebration of this finale, the cover of what will be the last volume of the manga, number 16, was announced in official media and will be released on December 18, with the peculiarity that it will have two versions: a standard and a special one, the latter will not only have a different cover, but will come with some additions such as stickers and a stand.
Also this volume will be very interesting for fans, as it will have 24 extra pages of a special episode which will contain some details that will be key to the story, so in addition to the above, fans will have to be attentive to know what else will be revealed.
As we mentioned, those who were most shocked by the arrival of the ending of Oshi no Ko were the fans of the work themselves, and the controversy once again arose among them: from those who adored the ending to those who loathed it. Now we will have to wait for the release of the final volume and those extra chapters to find out if there is some kind of ‘detail’ that will end up satisfying all the fans of the work.
What cannot be denied is that Oshi no Ko, in a very short time, has become one of the most representative works in the world of manga and anime, and that its very raw story of the untold reality of the world of entertainment and revenge have been very important in achieving its success. For its part, the anime, which finished broadcasting its second season a few months ago, has already officially confirmed that it will have a third season, in this case without an estimated release date, so we will have to wait for further updates.
