The arrival of the third season of One Punch Man has kept fans in high anticipation, but, contrary to the joy of our favorite bald guy (not that one) returning, fans have come forward to state their opinion regarding the change of studio, with “J.C. Staff” taking the reins once again. This is categorized as a possible total failure by the fans, presenting the reasons for their harsh opinion.
Will J.C. Staff studio lead One Punch Man to failure?
It sounds like blasphemy, but, let’s remember, the studio in charge of the second season of One Punch Man did not leave things well, said by many fans in the broadcast of this “lost quality”. We are not only talking about a drawing quality, this remains firm, we are talking about a decadent direction and production. Converging the first point directs us that the series is doomed to fall as its second season, despite having good hands (in the staff of the studio), these can not be of use.
“The studio has almost 10 projects for this year 2024”, counting also the new season of DanMachi, being one of the studio’s favorites, something that would represent a considerable drop in the staff that will be in charge of the project. This translates into an animation that remains the same or worse than its second season and a lower investment in other areas (direction, production, music, marketing).
Taking the previous point, citing something completely related, and is that the scenes that we will see in this third season, not only are important for the final development of the work, but there are also panels of the manga that require good production, direction and animation. From the moment it was announced it carried a lot of hype ahead, although not many were happy with the change of studio, we were able to see the trailer and the new visuals, something that we detail in this note of our page.
This could be a strong sentence for the third season of One Punch Man, maybe I’m too pessimistic? Something we noticed in the previous season was the drop in quality, as we already mentioned, knowing this, the animation studio must have as a priority a great part of its resources in the series, since it is one of the most awaited of the last years having been left in limbo. Adding one last nail to the coffin is the curse of J.C. Staff and his bad decisions over the years.
We can conclude that, even though things look very dark for the future of the new season, we must think positive and trust more in the studio, which has very good series, even if they consider it one of the worst, what remains is to wait for the new previews and the time of its premiere, we do not want a Nanatsu no Taizai (please) with this season of One Punch Man.
