Every beginning has its end, Noragami is a work that has come a long way, it is a story full of action scenes, very interesting characters, scenes full of comedy that has brought us more than one smile and an endless number of elements that enrich Japanese mythology, the story of God Yato after 14 years of serialization finally comes to an end Do you want to know how it was?
What happened to Yato, Hiyori and Yukine? must be a question that is going through your head, if you haven’t read the end of the manga yet. It is worth mentioning that below we will talk with spoilers about chapter 109 of Noragami, if you want to know it keep reading and if you don’t want to know it yet, I advise you to stop and then come back.
Noragami: One of the most beloved Shonen comes to an end
A long road has been traveled by our protagonists and we have accompanied them in their hard journey, at the beginning we met Yato as that funny god who seeks the recognition of the people to be remembered, who one day runs into a young girl named Hiyori where such an encounter makes this character find himself between the human and spiritual world, finally we have our rebellious teenager Yukine, a lost soul who will eventually help Yato and remain loyal to him.
Chapter 109 of Noragami, shows us the results coming from the previous chapter, the battle against Father is finally over, now we see a young Hiyori who is already a resident doctor, we can appreciate the cherry blossoms and realize that it is already spring, we can also see Hiyori carrying a diary full of stickers.
Yato and Yukine have a trivial conversation, we can observe Hiyori with a patient, she talks about her diary and how she has always kept one, but she remembers that at some point when she was in high school she lost one of them, it was in the period when she was having narcolepsy attacks, she tells them that one day she was found unconscious somewhere in the north, it was known that someone gave her CPR until her ribs were fractured, after that curious moment her sleeping periods were ended.
Hiyori’s parents wanted to thank the person who saved their daughter, but they were told that the person disappeared as soon as Hiyori was admitted to the hospital. In the following picture we can see Yato and Yukine watching from a distance.
Yato and Yukine returned to their normal life, receiving calls to fulfill the requests of customers, Yato looks at Yukine and realizes that she has matured, on the other hand Hiyori meets a young man who entered the hospital almost at the same time as her, this boy had similar symptoms to Hiyori as well as a dual personality that at some point disappeared.
This young man does not remember anything of that personality, neither his name nor his face, all that trace of Father’s possession simply disappeared, but the young man feels that something is missing, he feels a longing for someone. The boy invites Hiyori to eat but some pigeons intervene and make Hiyori stay alone.
Hiyori contemplates the scent of flowers and thinks that she also has the desire to meet someone, nostalgia invades her.
We move on to another scene where Hiyori is again sitting on a small bathtub, appreciating the flowers and smelling their aroma, it is at that moment when she looks up and on a tree she can see Yato, Hiyori’s expression is of joy, Yato’s face is of surprise, he thought he could never see Hiyori again, even worse, he thought she would never remember him, it is at that moment that Hiyori says his name while looking at him.

This is what comes out of her voice, we continue with a sequence from Hiyori’s diary, the date is April 2 and the words found written are as follows: “I met Yato again. He pretended not to know me. That made me laugh”, it is with that scene that Noragami ends.
