Fans of Naoshi Komi’s acclaimed work, “Nisekoi: False Love”, are thrilled by the release of a revamped edition of its compilation volumes. This new version, which will be available in Japan from June, promises to surprise with additional content that will show events that happened 7 years after the end of the original manga.
“Nisekoi: False Love” has captivated its readers with its dynamic narrative and memorable characters. Now, the series returns with a ‘Bunko Edition’ that will not only bring newly drawn cover illustrations, but also new stories that will add a new layer of complexity to the Nisekoi universe.
The first two volumes of the revamped edition will go on sale on June 16, 2023. Nisekoi fans will be eager to get a copy and dive into the new plots that the edition has to offer.
Each volume of this revamped edition will be sold for 924 yen (tax included), an affordable price to relive the adventures of the favorite characters and discover the new stories that will be presented after the finale of the original narrative.
The manga “Nisekoi”, created by Naoshi Komi, began its journey through the pages of the magazine S honen Jump, published by Shueisha, in November 2011. Its publication continued until August 4, 2016, during which 25 compilation volumes were released.
On January 11, 2014, the manga managed to make the leap to the screen with an anime adaptation. This consisted of two seasons and four OVAs, totaling 32 episodes. The animation studio Shaft was in charge of bringing Nisekoi to life in the anime, under the direction of Akiyuki Shinbo and Naoyuki Tatsuwa.
Synopsis of Nisekoi:
The story revolves around Raku Ichijo, who seems to be an average student with excellent grades and dreams of entering a prestigious university and living a life like any other. However, Raku is the heir of the leader of the local yakuza, a reality that he dislikes and rejects for believing that he is not made for that lifestyle.
In his childhood, Raku met a girl who gave him a necklace in the shape of a lock, promising that one day they would meet again and open the lock together to reveal what was inside. Currently, Raku goes to school with Shuu Maiko and Kosaki Onodera, and suspects that Onodera might be the girl who gave him the necklace so many years ago.
