Fans of the NieR: Automata video game series will soon have the chance to get their hands on a little piece of their favorite goth waifu again, a couple of months ago we announced the arrival of an adorable plush of the beautiful 2B perfect for fans of the franchise. But now we come with the perfect companion for that plush, an incredible mini figure of 2B, A2 and 9S in pure “Neko” style that perfectly capture the most adorable side of each one that we can rarely see in a figure, but that is the one that fans love the most.

This great announcement comes from the retail chain, Sega Plaza, who revealed that the trio of danger from the NieR franchise belonging to the “Ohiruneko” series will be added as prizes in the claw or crane machines in all its stores around the country starting next January 19. At the moment it is not known if the automatons will arrive at the machines of the Land of the Rising Sun in blind boxes or in a specific box for each one, so we can go directly to our favorite.
Each figure, as seen in the images, seems to be upside down and enjoying a little nap with the cherry on the cake and what makes them a Neko edition in every sense of the word: the ears and the little tail. According to the information shared by Sega Plaza, these new figures of the Nier franchise will have a size of 5.5 x 4.5 centimeters, are quite small and can rest in the palm of the hand.
Although the material these figures will be made of has not been revealed, it is most likely that they will be made of high-strength plastics or some alloy thereof. On the other hand, for fans of the waifu 2B on this side of the world, we can only wait, as Sega usually releases these figures for sale some time after their release in Japan.
The reason why they do it is unknown, they will do it because of the great acceptance of the fans, because they thought of the fans on this side of the pond or simply to generate more income. Whatever the reason, if these adorable figures get into our hands they will be completely worth it.
Talking a bit about the great success of the NieR Automata franchise, it has reached 7.5 million physical and digital copies sold by April 2023, more than enough popularity for it to be worthy of its own anime adaptation made up of 12 episodes available on Crunchyroll and a second season already in production. All this without forgetting the great collaborations it has made with other titles, to highlight a few we mention Naraka: Bladepoint and the most recent and popular arrival to the video game, Nikke.
