A few weeks before its worldwide premiere on the Netflix platform, the new anime adaptation of the classic manga by Rumiko Takahashi, Ranma 1/2, has presented new details in its official media. Through a new promotional video of over 1 minute in length, a preview of the series’ opening theme song was presented, which will be performed by the artist “ano” and will be titled “Iinazukekkyun”.
New Ranma 1/2 Anime Reveals More Details with Another Trailer
Recall that the new anime adaptation of the Ranma 1/2 manga is scheduled to premiere on the Netflix platform on October 5 of this year. In addition, at the end of last August it was announced the production of an English dub for the anime, which will feature the return of some of the voice actors who participated in the classic series.
The production team of the new Ranma 1/2 anime is as follows: Konosuke Uda will be in charge of directing the anime. As previously mentioned, the animation studio MAPPA will be in charge of the production of the anime, while Hiromi Taniguchi will be in charge of the character designs. Kimiko Ueno will be in charge of composing the anime and Kaoru Wada will be in charge of composing the soundtrack.

Ranma 1/2 introduces us to the life of Ranma Saotome is a world-class martial artist and a prodigy of the Saotome school of martial arts “Anything Goes”. During his training in China, he and his father meet a terrible fate when they accidentally fall into a cursed spring. Now, Ranma is cursed to turn into a girl when cold water splashes on him, and only hot water can turn him back into a boy.
Things get even more complicated when Ranma discovers that his father has arranged for him to marry one of Soun Tendo’s three daughters to secure the future of the Tendo dojo. Although Soun learns of Ranma’s situation, he is still determined to go through with the engagement and chooses his youngest daughter, Akane, who happens to be an expert martial artist and has a reputation for hating men.
