There is no doubt that much of the success of anime adaptations, such as Naruto, relies on the seiyuus, the voice actors who give life to our favorite characters and without them they would not be the same. But sometimes, those who lend their voice, like any other public figure, are involved in a series of controversies in which they are accused of infidelities or committing crimes, as in the case of the seiyuu Daiki Nakamura, voice of Inoichi Yamanaka in the Naruto franchise.
Seiyuu of Inoichi Yamanaka in Naruto is fired from his agency
Today the world of Japanese voice actors is once again surrounded by controversies that to some extent affect their professional and personal lives, and in which the companies they work with are also affected. Recall that recently, a Love Live! seiyuu was accused of participating in a compromising video, more details here.
Well, this time it is the seiyuu Daiki Nakamura, who has voiced Inoichi Yamanaka in Naruto and who has been accused of ac0s0 s3xu@l and financial misappropriations. It turns out that a couple of days ago, last March 21 of this year, the Japanese agency 81 Produce, which is dedicated to represent various seiyuus, released a statement in which they made public their decision to no longer work with Daiki Nakamura,
In the report they explained a little more about the delicate situation and the reasons why they terminated their contract. 81 Produce received complaints of financial damages, as well as improper behavior from seiyuu Nakamura, who is said to have opened a private school called “Yume Kobo” some time ago, which he runs.
According to the statements, the 81 Produce agency had no knowledge that seiyuu Nakamura was in charge of the said private school, where he was accused of abuse0 of power, detour of financial funds and the most serious, ac0s0 s3xu@l. Nakamura responded to these accusations, denying them and filing a lawsuit for damages to his figure.
So the agency decided to investigate the facts and later confirmed that he was indeed involved in all the allegations. Although there is already a document signed by both parties where his contract is annulled, the agency has apologized and clarified that it will be responsible for the damages caused and expressed support to all those involved.
This type of situation seems to be more and more frequent in the Japanese media and although the cancellation he has received from his former agency is very recent, we will have to see how much impact he will have on his career after these events. Let’s remember that the seiyuu Daiki Nakamura has participated in the following animes as Bun in Dragon Ball, Detective Konno in Detective Connan, Takaaki Itou in Hajime no Ippo, Dayakka littner in Tengen toppa gurren lagann and the best known Inoichi Yamanaka in Naruto.
