After the shocking events that have occurred in the most recent chapters of the romantic comedy manga My Dress-Up Darling (Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo suru), it seems that Shinichi Fukuda, author of the work, has decided to take a break for a while and it was reported that the manga will stop its publication for a few weeks.
According to information provided by Twitter/X user “Manga Mogura”, Shinichi Fukuda’s manga will resume publication on October 18 of this year, so fans of My Dress-Up Darling will have to wait a little over 1 month to see more about how the relationship of the main characters Marin Kitagawa and Gojo Wakana progresses after confessing their love and having their first kiss.

Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo suru, also known as My Dress-Up Darling in the West, is a romantic comedy manga written and illustrated by Shinichi Fukuda. The work began publication in January 2018 in Square Enix publisher’s Young Gangan magazine, with a total of 13 compilation volumes currently published. Shinichi Fukuda’s manga is still in publication and publisher Square Enix confirmed a while ago that the work managed to surpass the incredible figure of 11 million copies in circulation.
The anime adaptation of the romantic comedy manga “My Dress-Up Darling” (Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo suru) began broadcasting on Japanese television on January 8, 2022. The series consisted of a total of 12 episodes and the CloverWorks animation studio was in charge of its production. The anime was broadcast legally and simultaneously through the Crunchyroll platform, who made an English dubbing for the series.
In September 2022, the anime “My Dress-Up Darling” excited fans by announcing a sequel. To date, no details have been revealed about this sequel, and at the moment there seems to be no indication that new updates will be released soon.
