At the same time, they ask the public to continue playing it and not to forget that the anime premiere is coming soon, so they can’t miss it. Some people posted a meme where we see a deer-headed being with the caption “Absolute Cinema”, but My Deer Friend Nokotan version, placing the waifu as the protagonist of this meme. My Deer Friend Nokotan is a work written and illustrated by Oshioshio that began being serialized in Kodansha’s Shōnen Magazine Edge, but after it disappeared in November 2019, it was transferred to Magazine Pocket in December 2019. In March 2024, it was announced that this story would receive an anime adaptation and would be produced by Wit Studio. This series is directed by Masahiko Ohta, the scripts are by Takashi Aoshima, the character design is by Ayumu Tsujimura and the music by Yasuhiro Misawa.
The opening of My Deer Friend Nokotan called “Shikairo Days” is performed by Megumi Han, Saki Fujita, Rui Tanabe and Fūka Izumi who take their respective roles as the members of Deer Club. The ending called “Shika-senbei no Uta” is performed by Han and Fujita, as well as each of them in their respective characters in the series.
The story of My Deer Friend Nokotan introduces us to Torako, who used to be a delinquent, but no one knows this secret, in fact, it is quite the opposite, as her classmates think she is the perfect student. Everything changes when Nokotan, who is a transfer student, comes into her life. She is a girl who not only has antlers like those of a moose, but a nose powerful enough to sniff out Torako’s past, leaving the young girl with many questions about the origin of this new student.
