Mushoku Tensei (Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation) was definitely the anime of the spring 2024 season that left the most talk among fan groups, either by the quality of their scenes, by the content they cover or because they involve the controversial protagonist Rudeus Greyrat. But now it was Roxy Migurdia who stole the show in episode 21 of the second season of this anime, thanks to the fact that this waifu decided to get closer to our protagonist, with a curious potion that sparked controversy within the anime community.
Mushoku Tensei’s Roxy causes controversy over man-killing potion
Within Mushoku Tensei II: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu, specifically in chapter 21, we find the blue-haired waifu, Roxy Migurdia, who was in charge of creating controversy on this occasion due to a curious potion. For this we have to delve a little into the context of that episode, so it is under your responsibility if you continue reading, as this note will contain spoilers of the story. The Mushoku Tensei episode begins with Roxy inside a cave in a somewhat complicated situation, wondering if she will make it out unscathed, when at the last moment our controversial Rudeus arrives to save her.
However, something unexpected happens in Mushoku Tensei, as Roxy turns out to have momentary amnesia, so she does not remember her partner for a few moments. The waifu finally manages to return and rejoin the story and the adventures in the labyrinths begin, where our waifu proposes to Rudeus to go through a “simple” labyrinth completely alone. After a hectic day fighting in the mazes, this couple goes to the market to get what they need to continue the fight.
Right there is where the moment that sparked spicy thoughts among Mushoku Tensei fans happens, while our couple is shopping to improve their combat equipment, we see Roxy holding a small bottle of dark purple. Fans were quick to comment that this one in question is very similar to one that Frieren from Sousou no Frieren had, and which was undoing clothes, no doubt a rather whimsical position for those perverse minds. Fans upon seeing this scene of Roxy began to speculate on whether it is a similar or passion-related potion that will help our little couple to continue their love encounter.
After shopping, they end up at a bar where they start reminiscing about old times, causing Rudeus to start being slightly tender with Roxy, which causes Roxy to blush. In the entire episode of Mushoku Tensei, we see small affectionate interactions between them. This episode excited fans for the fact that Roxy asks Rudeus out on a date. However, many others questioned the fact that Rudeus is forgetting the fact that he will soon be a father and that he is married, perhaps due to the effect of this supposed potion.
This fact divides fans into groups that celebrate Roxy’s quick to take action attitude and those who criticize that Rudeus is a married man. As we mentioned before, Roxy from Mushoku Tensei starred in this episode, and the fans applauded her tender and quick attitude, because a fact that the audience liked a lot is that Roxy goes with all the intentions to conquer Rudeus, she even recognized him in less than one episode, while Sylphiette took around 10 episodes.
For those who do not know the plot of Mushoku Tensei, it presents the classic isekai story where our protagonist loses his life in our world to be transported to a fantasy kingdom where wizards, knights and all kinds of beings coexist, but in this case it will have a special spice.
