Anime belonging to the Isekai genre almost always translate more than well to the world of video games, and it seems that Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation is no exception. Bushiroad Games has just released a new trailer for this interesting new title that was developed by the Lancarse studio. And if you’re a fan of this light novel series.
Soon you will be able to relive the story of Mushoku Tensei on your favorite console
This new role-playing game is titled Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation – Quest of Memories and will be released in the middle of the year for several consoles: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC through the Steam platform. In this trailer you can see that the gameplay will be divided into two completely different but equally important parts. The first looks like a visual novel, where we will be able to control the iconic characters of the series in dialogue segments that follow the plot of the anime. Although the trailer also explains that there will be some new scenarios that will be 100% original to this game, which sounds very interesting.
While we will obviously be able to follow the story of Rudeus, Eris and Ruijerd that we already got to enjoy in the original Mushoku Tensei anime, the new original story will be the adventure in which Roxy Migurdia, with the help of Elinalise and Talhand, must seek out and find Rudeus Greyrat himself. This sounds like a lot of fun and something that has been created as “fanservice” for the most passionate fans of this popular series. We hope this new plot meets our expectations.
The other half of the Mushoku Tensei: Quest of Memories gameplay is a first-person dungeon exploration RPG, where Rudeus and his team must explore different areas, levels and dungeons in order to advance in their adventure. What’s particularly intriguing is that the trailer boasts that the game contains a large number of monsters and enemies to contend with, which is sure to result in challenging and interesting encounters. Not to mention that you’ll also have to make sure to use all of your weapons and spells to overcome all of these obstacles.
Although Mushoku Tensei: Quest of Memories looks to be a fun RPG full of references to the original series, many fans couldn’t help but feel a bit disappointed with this trailer. The truth is that it looks like a somewhat stale game, with gameplay similar to old-school RPGs. And, while there’s obviously an audience for that, many would have preferred a bigger adventure, with 3D graphics and an open world. But it looks like Mushoku Tensei fans will have to settle for this for now. We’ll be able to find out how much fun it is when it’s released in a few months.
