The manga magazine “Monthly Action” will be discontinued, in its edition published on January 25, announced that the publication will be discontinued after the February 24 edition, said announcement was shared by the Twitter account @livedoornews, the magazine follows the philosophy of publishing “anything interesting” and does not strictly conform to a specific genre or target demographic.

Monthly Action magazine, has announced that several of its works will be transferred to other magazines, two of the most popular works that the magazine carried is Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon and Tsugumomo, which will be transferred to Manga Action and Web Action respectively, more details will be announced in its latest publication.
As we said before Monthly Action hosted very interesting stories, Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon is one of them, it tells us the story of a young office worker named Kobayashi, she works a lot, her life is quite monotonous, besides she has a supervisor that drives her out of her mind, after a long day she decides to drink, her drunkenness was so high that when she takes her train she misses her station and ends up lost in the mountains.
Kobayashi is lost, while walking she suddenly runs into a huge dragon that is injured, she has a sword stuck in her, as she is drunk, she does not pay attention to the warnings of the dragon that the sword belongs to the gods, apparently Kobayashi does not believe in them, so she takes the sword from the dragon and in this way she earns her gratitude, a curious event followed by another one makes the dragon named Tohru become Kobayashi’s servant and ends up living in her house.
On the other hand, we have Tsugumomo, one of the great jewels of Monthly Action magazine, a work that tells the story of Kazuya Kagami, a student who after a series of events becomes an exorcist, Tsugumomo shows us different creatures from Japanese mythology, besides the fact that the story takes place in the present, it shares with us different habits and customs of life in Japan.
As you can see, Monthly Action magazine contained very interesting works, the fact that it did not go for a specific genre, made it contain a great diversity of stories, we do not know why it will be discontinued but we hope that soon with the arrival of its last publication they will give us an adequate explanation, for the moment we are glad to know that several of his works will continue to be published although not by Monthly Action.
