Another installment of Monster Hunter is about to be released and it is undoubtedly the one that has caused more excitement in its fandom, it is Monster Hunter: Wilds that will continue with the theme of the franchise, but in a huge way and with the latest generation graphics. This new title of the saga comes in charge of the developer Capcom, a company highly recognized for its incredible releases and huge collaborations in arcade games and which announced in the past hours that the “Wilds” installment would arrive sooner than the official release date announced for users of the PlayStation 5.
Capcom’s Monster Hunter: Wilds gets a little preview for PS5 users
Less than a month ago, at the Tokyo Game Show 2024 edition, it was enthusiastically announced that the new installment of the “Monster Hunter” franchise would arrive on February 28, 2025. With this date in mind and many excellent previews in between, gamers in general were and continue to be excited about the launch of this title for next-generation consoles that will employ the full potential of the Unreal Engine 5 graphics engine and the extra technological advances that the Dual Sense of Sony’s PS5 offers.
But it was not until a few hours ago that through a Showcase one of the masterminds behind “Wilds” offered the 5th trailer of the game, which is no longer only cinematic, but shows an extended gameplay and more plot of this new story that the game will tell us. Ryozo Tsujimoto producer in an event that lasted almost 15 minutes gave pleasant surprises to PlayStation 5 users after showing a trailer that left fans of the saga and gaming even more eager to get a copy of the game even though it is in pre-sale status.
Ryozo Tsujimoto has been aware of the huge acceptance that Monster Hunter: Wilds has had and is very surprised by it, due to this anxiety to play, the producer announced that there will be an open Beta for PlayStation 5 users. This will be for users who are subscribed to PS PLUS and also for those who are not subscribed to the service, however, those who have a subscription will have early access to the Beta.
The Open Beta will be divided into three sections, the first one will be the classic character customization where you will have full access to the creation features such as: age, voice type, eye color, scars, scar symmetry and pet customization. The second part consists of a test story mode where there will be combat tutorials and some scenes of the gameplay already seen and finally there will be a challenge, “Doshaguma Hunt”, which will consist of hunting this monster, which can be individually or cooperatively, the challenge will not be easy, because Doshaguma is an Alpha monster.
The beta will have a bonus for those who are encouraged to sign up for the play test, and is that you will receive a random accessory, which can be recovered when playing the full version of Monster Hunter: Wilds on February 28, 2025, also Tsujimoto promised that the game will take even more advantage of dualsense making the title more immersive, so the play test will arrive first on PS5 and no other tests were announced for Xbox Series X|S or PC.
