miHoYo creators of Genshin Impact accused of plagiarism

For those who do not know “miHoYo” is the mastermind behind several successful franchises in video games in recent years, “Genshin Impact“, “Honkai Series” are some of the names that the Chinese company owns and have earned billions of dollars to its coffers, but it seems that good fortune and business decisions also have a counterpart that the company has not been able to shake and that is the controversy and poor treatment towards the players. Once again the company is involved in a plagiarism controversy towards the anime industry.

myHoYo is harshly criticized for this new Honkai Impact PV!

It turns out that recently in China has been released the PV for version 7.1 of Honkai Impact 3r developed by miHoYo and at first glance it might seem like any other preview of the Genshin Impact and Honkai Series franchises, but what caught our attention was that a user in the famous Japanese forum Yaraon! noticed several “strange” things within the promotional video, and yes, indeed we are talking about plagiarism of some famous anime franchises.

The user in question analyzed the video released by miHoYo and detected that both “Black Clover” in its opening number 10, “Sōsō no Frieren” in the music video of the YOASOBI song and “Mushoku Tensei” in its opening number 2 had been plagiarized shamelessly, because some scenes of these opening sequences and music videos presented a more than evident similarity, these are some of the images of the mentioned sequences in a somewhat poor quality, but unfortunately the platform “bilibili” where the comparison was uploaded does not allow you better qualities.

Faced with this situation, Japanese users did not take long to fill the comments section with some opinions about this: “These guys are always copying the Japanese“, “”It’s not plagiarism, it’s a tribute”, say those who support this kind of actions”, “It seems that there are no copyrights in China, I guess that’s why they don’t care about copying everyone”, “They almost went unnoticed, but the copy to Black Clover was too obvious, someone had to realize sooner or later“, were some of the reactions that the public had before this blatant plagiarism.

So far these have been the copies that have been detected in miHoYo’s Honkai Impact video, but users are still checking if there are more “coincidences” of this type, if you are interested in watching the video you can click here, for now we will be waiting to see if new details emerge about this bad move by the creators of Genshin Impact. Tell us in the comments section what you think about this kind of situations, we can say for our part that miHoYo is already a consolidated company to have enough creative talent and resort to these practices.
