For a long time now, “collectible card” games have thrilled millions of players around the world. Both with their game rules, complex strategies, exciting battles and incredible illustrations. These games have provided a unique experience for their communities of players.
But when such card games contain only anime characters and especially “waifus”, magic happens and many fans gather to purchase and play. Seeing the affection that many fans show, brands decide to make their games much more complex and expand them, a clear example is the curious card game called “Weiß Schwarz”.
THIS AMAZING CARD GAME THRILLS ANIME FANS
It is worth noting that “Weiß Schwarz” is a unique card game of its kind, as it officially brings together countless anime licenses thanks to Bushiroad, the same company that has brought us other games such as “Cardfight!!!” and “Shadowverse”, as well as “Love Live” and “BanG Dream” video games.
As we mentioned earlier, this game brings together many super popular anime series both classic and new and turns them into card decks and packs of card booster packs such as:
- Chainsaw Man
- JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure
- Saekano
- Lycoris Recoil
- SPY x FAMILY
- Azur Lane
- Magia Record
- Arifureta
- Shakugan No Shana
To mention just a few of the anime that are part of the great list of decks of cards, which feature super-incredible designs. That the quality would be very similar to the “Shadowverse” cards. People who at least have a Shadowverse deck or a Shadowverse card may agree with us.
But, on the other hand, if we can compare with other games and without offending all “Yu-GI-Oh” fans, the quality is a little better than “Yu-Gi-Oh”, since the illustrations and models are made by the people in charge of each anime. Like the competition, there are two versions, the Japanese and the international, of which the only difference is the translation, since the releases are almost at the same time in both versions.
The prices vary depending on the releases and we could even say the popularity of each anime, since we have seen packs of packs of card packs of “The Quintillizas”, “Sword Art Online”, “Saekano” and “Fate” at around 100 dollars or more, while packs of card packs of series such as “BanG Dream”, “Love Live”, “Zombie Land Saga”, “Princess Connect!” and “Oshi No Ko” do not exceed the price of 50 dollars.
Although if you are only looking to buy a preset deck, the prices are not as high as for example the “Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End”, “Yuragi-sou no Yuuna-san” and “Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World” card decks do not exceed 15 dollars. Which makes it a somewhat affordable game, unlike other games where the pre-set decks go for more than 100 dollars.
The most curious thing is that depending on what you buy, some of them may come with signatures of the anime’s seiyuus, something that is undoubtedly something super special and something that other games do not do. Undoubtedly an important marketing move to appeal more to anime fans.
