Currently and thanks to globalization, the anime industry is reaching new levels of popularity and we owe that to an endless number of series that have played an important role with recognized characters such as Makima, Megumin or more. And now, in the last few hours, a set of images have gone viral where we see not only the two girls mentioned above, but also 2B and Misato, as they were all present in the last elections held in Brazil.
Anime characters like Makima go to vote in Brazil’s elections
Recently, a tweet went viral on the X platform posted by the user @ShitpostRock who shared some very interesting images with the description “Brazilian elections are always fun with the images that come out of them” and in this content we can see several people characterized as different anime characters.
Among these we can see Makima from the well known Chainsaw Man series, 2B from NieR: Automata, we also find Megumin from the always fun anime series Konosuba! and Misato Katsuragi from Neon Genesis Evangelion, the appearance of these characters caused a stir and generated a lot of funny comments that quickly went around Twitter/X.
Among some of the comments were: “How many of these are men? That’s the interesting part, all of them”, ‘I would vote for Makima, she is a professional in organizational management’, ‘Seeing Misato, 2B, Makima and Megumin in the areas of Brazil is something beautiful’, ‘If I were Brazilian I would vote for Misato with all my strength’, ‘I understand Makima and 2B, but what is Megumin doing, she is not old enough to vote!’, ‘They have the best characters there, Brazil was built differently, now I see the vision’, among many others.
Another of the most mentioned things that certainly caught the attention, was the characterization of these people, which looks pretty good. Especially Makima and 2B, who look amazing with their respective cosplays inspired by their series and which inspired a lot of confidence to the point of wanting to vote for them. There is no doubt that this curious situation got a lot of laughs.
We must mention that this is not the first time that something bizarre happens in an election; we must remember that in July of this year a video of the nominations of the country of the rising sun went viral where Samara Morgan or rather known as the ghost of the movie “Ju-on” made her appearance and surprised the entire internet. And it seems that the Japanese television is forced to give a space to all those who wish to run and be candidates and one of them was characterized in this way, if you are interested to know more about this curious case you can find the note here.
As you could notice, elections are strangely a place where we can witness out of the ordinary events and something like this can happen anywhere in the world, today we saw different candidates characterized as an anime character, maybe in the future we will see people dressed as superheroes or other famous TV characters.
