Madoka Magica is an anime that transports us to a world where magical girls have to face witches while gradually discovering what is behind such noble work. This premise at the time changed the way in which the Mahou Shoujo genre is treated, and due to its popularity, the work has inspired many products such as manga and video games, the latter of the series will soon end, as a few weeks ago it was confirmed the closure of its servers. However, a few hours ago it was announced the launch of a new title called Puella Magi Madoka Magica Magia Exedra.

This brings us to today where the trailer was made public along with details about the team behind it, being Aniplex Inc. responsible for publishing and distribution, Pokelabo, Inc. and f4samurai, Inc. in charge of development. In addition, an official website was created for the Puella Magi Madoka Magica Magia Exedra video game in which we can appreciate a series of illustrations along with an estimated release date scheduled for the current year 2024.
The trailer of Puella Magi Madoka Magica Magia Exedra was the product of a series of publications that were given from the official account of the game on Twitter/X. It all started on April 20 of this year with a tweet with a mysterious date on which the new game would be revealed. The announcements related to the new title continued the following month, in which it was announced the creation of a YouTube channel for the game in which more information will be provided, as well as the broadcasting of a live stream on Tuesday, July 2 at 8:00 pm.
This took fans of the franchise by surprise and they shared their expectations through comments on the different networks. Here are some of them: “Vamoooooos, Iroha is back. I hope to see more Magia Record girls”, “I can’t wait for this! I’m so happy we have a PV with subs EN!”, “Can’t wait for this new Madoka Magica game!”, “Why is it green?”, “You guys were here when it premiered, don’t forget me”, among other particular comments.
This promotional video gave us more details of the background that awaits us in the new adventure of the magical girls. The video starts with a series of sentences: “A place where the memories of magical girls illuminate the darkness”, “Now the girl who lost everything has wandered to her sanctuary”. All while listening to a melancholic and mysterious melody that accompanies the gradual revelation of an enigmatic silhouette.
Subsequently, the aura changes giving way to a static effect followed by a series of questions: “Who am I …?”, “How did I get here …?”. The action is interrupted, the silhouette disappears, in its place we see a Kyubey with certain characteristics, his ears, eyes, and part of his fur are have a green hue. The action is accompanied by another series of mysterious sentences and then we see a close-up of the subject in question, giving way to a small collage of the different productions of the work.
Puella Magi Madoka Magica transports us to a story completely different from the classic Mahou Shoujo genre, in which we see through Madoka Kaname, the protagonist, the tragic fate that awaits those who fulfill the mission of defeating the witches that threaten humanity. During her adventure she will meet multiple magical girls with their ways of dealing with the reality that awaits them while she questions whether she really wants to become one.
