Lollipop Chainsaw is considered by many as a work “different” from what it was used to play in the first decade of the XXI century. A lightly clad protagonist with a carefree attitude, a talking head boyfriend who followed her in her misadventures and a cast of enemies, each one more particular than the other, made this groundbreaking title worthy of a special re-release for the current generation of consoles. For some time now, the arrival of a remaster of this title has been announced, and now we will tell you about the main changes that the version called “RePOP” will have.

First of all, it is worth remembering that this remaster (Remake in the first instance) will also be released for the current generation of consoles, in addition to the version for Nintendo Switch. Obviously, the power of these differs quite a bit from that of the Japanese portable and that is why the game’s director, Yoshimi Yasuda has shared the final features that the facelift will have for one of his most beloved works.
Among them, Yasuda comments a little more in detail this version of Nintendo Switch, which caught the attention of many, as it will be released in the same way as for next-generation consoles such as Xbox Series S/X and also the PlayStation 5, which have a technical capacity far superior to the Nintendo console. That is why he confirmed first of all that the game will have the same specifications on the various platforms, with a Full HD graphic resolution (1080p) and that the frame rate will be 30 fps. In this way, the director of Lollipop Chainsaw confirmed the resolution chosen so that the game has a homogeneous appearance in all its current versions.
On the other hand, the director reaffirmed that most of the changes made in this remaster of Lollipop Chainsaw respond to a need to update the game experience, but without raising the technical requirements, creating inequalities between the different versions.
To differentiate from the original version of the game, special visual effects corresponding to the era will be included, although the most demanding features such as screen space reflections that are not supported by the Nintendo Switch have not been included in any of the versions of Lollipop Chainsaw – RePOP. Similarly, the lighting of each stage was optimized through a graphic polishing process in order to give a high fidelity in image quality and visual effects so that all fans will be satisfied with their experience.
Finally, Yashuda urged players to see an exclusive preview of the gameplay for the Switch version and is that the work done by his team was such that he is very proud of this zombie and action game, especially for players of Nintendo’s console, so he hopes that many will play the title.
