One of the most anticipated video game Live-Action series of this year along with Fallout (released in April) is undoubtedly the “Like a Dragon” franchise which is titled “Like a Dragon Yakuza” and premiered this October 24 being transmitted through Amazon’s video streaming platform “Prime Video”. The “Yakuza” game series has already positioned itself in the gaming industry as a great action RPG and in the run-up to its new installment “Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii”, the collaboration is a good way to make itself known once again among fans of the genre.
Live-Action on Prime Video is a new opportunity for Like a Dragon
Amazon’s streaming platform has been known for bringing us gems in terms of Live-Actions, the commentary or even great stories that do not even consider the content they include, proof of this was the aforementioned Fallout April 2024. And now comes the turn of Kazuma, protagonist of Like a Dragon and one more avenger of the role-playing game of the same name belonging to the legendary developer SEGA.
As of October 24, the first 3 episodes of the live action adaptation of one of the most recognized franchises in the history of video games, Like a Dragon (formerly known as Yakuza), are now available. The Like a Dragon Live-Action series will have a total of 6 exciting episodes and the specialized critics are already beginning to give their first opinions, but what really matters is that of users after watching it, because what is shown in the preview is incredible and reflects scenes and some references to the video game saga of the developer SEGA.
The Live-Action series is a hard-earned success, as there are more than 6 video games of one of the most popular protagonists in gaming, starting in 2006 with the game titled “Yakuza”, which tells the story of Kazuma Kiryu in 1995, “The Dragon of Dojima”, popular for forging his own family. After a plot twist, he decides to frame himself for a crime he did not commit and returning 10 years to his “family” with a civil war about to break out.
All Like a Dragon games show the internal corruption of the “families” and other mafias, as well as the government system, betrayals and above all a bit of comedy in a very Japanese style. The games are RPG’s focused on action and the story of Kazuma Kiryu has always left good feelings in his followers because, despite belonging to a “mafia” is the reference of a vigilante in the middle of the streets of a Japan without order that requires order.
Now fans will have to enjoy the series and give their own opinion on whether it really lives up to expectations. However, Prime Video has already delivered adaptations up to par, such as the aforementioned Fallout Live action that delighted many fans of the game and the general public.
