After more than two years since the release of volume 13 of Sekai Saikyou’s light novel Arifureta Shokugyou (Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest), Japanese publisher Overlap has announced the long-awaited return of Ryo Shirakome and Takayaki’s work. Through its official media, Overlap revealed the official cover of the new volume, highlighting Yue, one of the female protagonists of the story, as the central face of the illustration.
According to the information presented on Overlap’s official website, the new volume of Sekai Saikyou’s light novel Arifureta Shokugyou is scheduled to be released in bookstores and stores in Japan on December 25 this year and will contain a total of 352 pages. The upcoming release of this volume will put an end to a wait that has lasted more than two years.

Arifureta Shokugyou by Sekai Saikyou, also known as Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest in the West, is an isekai light novel of action, harem and adventure that is written by Ryo Shirakome and illustrated by Takayaki. The light novel began publication through Overlap Bunko of Overlap’s Overlap publishing imprint as of June 2015.
The work has a manga adaptation by RoGa and began its publication in Overlap’s Comic Gardo magazine in December 2016. It should be noted that the literary franchise has surpassed 5.5 million copies in circulation.
July 8, 2019 marked the premiere of the anime adaptation of Sekai Saikyou’s light novel Arifureta Shokugyou. This adaptation consisted of two seasons, totaling 25 episodes, plus two OVAS. The first season was produced by White Fox Animation Studios and Asread, while the second season was produced by Studio Mother and Asread.
Currently, a third season of the anime Arifureta Shokugyou by Sekai Saikyou is being broadcast and you can watch it legally through the Crunchyroll platform.
