The Summer Game Fest brought great and pleasant surprises, one of the main ones was the announcement of a new “Horizon” videogame, one of the most acclaimed titles by specialists and PlayStation users thanks to its two previous installments. And now it was announced a new collaboration with the “LEGO” saga in an upcoming video game that will be called “LEGO Horizon Adventures” giving some surprises during its announcement, such as its release date for Christmas 2024 or the consoles where it will be available.

The adventure of the heroine Aloy could not be more exciting and now, together with the video game franchise belonging to LEGO (which has proven to know how to make very good deliveries such as “The Skywalker Saga”) comes LEGO Horizon Adventures, a title that will seek to consolidate itself among the best. In addition, a lot of information was shared by Sony, such as its release date, and the fact that it will not only be available on the company’s consoles, but will also be available on two other platforms.
Something that also came hand in hand with the announcement of LEGO Horizon Aventures was a very fun gameplay and in the style of these video games of the disassembled pieces, with ingenious weapons, very well armed enemies and an excellently detailed protagonist thanks to the technology used by the PlayStation 5, and that, this time there will no longer be a version for PS4. With this we know that copies will be released for the current generation of Sony, although it was surprising that at the end of the preview it was announced that there will be a version for Nintendo Switch and also for PC, causing divided reactions as the Horizon saga is a PlayStation exclusive, but also to serve as an “expansion” and attract new users.
But what was truly incredible was the announcement on Sony’s “PlayStation Blog“, announcing that this video game will be officially released in December 2024, that is, fans of Horizon, Lego and in general of the Japanese console will not have to wait long. Likewise, it has been specified that the story of the game is not intended to be a continuation or a “spin-off” it will be a “light story, inspired by the world of Horizon”, so the plot will address the memories of both video games,
And although many were surprised by this announcement, LEGO has always had a great influence in the world of video games, being that many titles are made under its name, which have been placed as some of the most important in the adventure genre. In these, being made with the aesthetics of the famous toymaker, they contain a gameplay that recreates the gameplay of creating all kinds of objects with blocks, this we have seen in their games based on well-known franchises such as Star Wars, Indiana Jones or even Pirates of the Caribbean.
Finally, not long ago, the company joined the popular video game Fortnite, with an independent game mode within the same title where players had to survive in a large map, creating all kinds of structures, just like in Minecraft. This is why players expect a lot from this new title as LEGO Horizon Adventures, especially those who know the vivid worlds of the Horizon saga and how they can be recreated in LEGO form.
