As many know, League of Legends is one of the best games in terms of competitive scene, and we are a few days away from the start of the world of this great game and as usual every year they release an anthem about this competition and this time they were not far behind, as they surprised us yesterday with the song titled GODS ft. New Jeans.

This song brought to us by Riot Games Music tells us the story of Deft, current world champion since he was in his study days where he was always second when talking about the 2 best players in League of Legends which were Faker and Deft, then we are shown him playing a ranked game from his home while his life rival Faker was crowned champion the first year he debuted.
Then we are shown a Deft determined to reach the world title, but is knocked down many times on his way by several players in the scene, we can recognize Pawn, Rekkles, Canyon and Showmaker each with the respective champion they used those games, but in addition to this our protagonist in the music video is accompanied by Meiko and then Keria “his protégé” who promised him the world cup a few years ago before falling to DWK.
The song is always highlighting how important this competition is and how all the fans are looking at their favorite players or teams chanting their names, screaming with excitement for their advancement in the tournament while they play like GODS and reach the crown and the throne making their way one by one as Deft did.
When we get to the end we see a destroyed Deft on his knees begging for a miracle to reach that crown, DRX arrives and he and his teammates make their way against each of Deft’s former teammates which are Meiko as his first rival, then Doran and in the final against his former teammate Keria and his lifelong rival Faker where finally after so much fall he gets the crown and is consecrated with his team the world champions.
Undoubtedly this song shows us how League of Legends gives us to understand a beautiful message and it is that no matter how many times you can fall along your final goal, if not how many times you will be willing to get up to keep fighting for your dream and your goals becoming a fighter, a legend, a GOD all this while the song fills us with determination and courage, something that NewJeans made sure to emphasize throughout the song.
