Konosuba! – Megumin and Iris star on the cover of volume 19

The official media of the renowned Japanese publisher “KADOKAWA” presented the official cover of the 19th compilation volume of the manga adaptation of the light novel “KonoSuba: God’s blessing on this wonderful world!” (Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!) Additionally, the official website of the publisher KADOKAWA released more details about this volume and specified that this volume of the Konosuba! manga is scheduled to be released for sale in bookstores and stores in Japan on June 7 of this year.

The cover illustration will feature the princess of the Belzerg Kingdom, “Belzerg Stylish Sword Iris“, also known as Iris, and the archmage of the Crimson Demon Magic Clan, “Megumin“. However, that’s not all, as publisher KADOKAWA confirmed that the literary franchise managed to surpass the incredible figure of 10 million copies in circulation.

Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!“, abbreviated as “Konosuba!“, is an isekai genre light novel authored by Natsume Akatsuki, while the illustrations are by Kurone Mishima. This fascinating light novel began publication under Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko imprint of Kadokawa Publishing House on October 1, 2013, and concluded its exciting journey on May 1, 2020. During this time, Kadokawa Publishing published a total of 17 volumes, consolidating the narrative of this captivating world.

The story also has a manga adaptation, illustrated by the talented illustrator Masahito Watari. This manga was first published in the pages of Monthly Dragon Age magazine, under the editorial wing of Fujimi Shobo, in September 2014.

On January 13, 2016, the light novel Konosuba! premiered its anime adaptation which consisted of 2 seasons (20 episodes in total), a movie and 2 OVAs. The animation studio Studio Deen was in charge of the production of the anime under the direction of Takaomi Kanasaki. The series is legally available on the Crunchyroll platform and has a English dub.

A third season began airing on April 10 this year and unlike other seasons, this installment will consist of a total of 11 episodes. The anime studio DRIVE will replace Studio Deen and will be in charge of the production of this season and is legally broadcast through the Crunchyroll platform.

Konosuba! introduces us to Kazuma Satou, our protagonist who on his shopping trip takes a dramatic turn when he sees a girl in danger of being run over by what he believes to be a truck. In a heroic and unusual act of bravery, he rushes in to save her, only to die… or at least that’s what he had in mind.

Contrary to his belief, Kazuma was not run over, but died of fright when he thought a slow-moving tractor was a truck in the middle of a race. This ridiculous ending, so absurd that even the doctors and his own family mocked him, leads our protagonist to wake up in an impressive and unknown room. There, he meets a beautiful goddess, Aqua, who, after mocking his death, offers him an irresistible proposal: a new life in a parallel fantasy universe.

In this new world, Kazuma would have the opportunity to live incredible adventures, face terrifying monsters, learn powerful magics and fight against a demon king, who rules this world and become the true hero among heroes who manages to defeat the demon king. For this adventure, Aqua offers him a weapon, skill, item and even a being to assist him on his journey, however, after hearing the taunts of the goddess Aqua, Kazuma decides to take her with him into this new world.

Aqua insists that this is not possible, but to her bad luck, this proposal is accepted and her place as the recipient will be taken by another goddess, while she is dragged into the new world to help Kazuma in his adventure to defeat the demon king. Get ready to dive into this incredible adventure that will fill you with many emotions and also great moments of comedy.
