KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! (Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!) is being as many expected one of the most popular anime of this spring 2024 season, being that with each new episode gives something to talk about, but it was the last one the one that most divided the community. And with one scene in particular, fans who love the “waifu” Darkness were disappointed with the protagonist Kazuma, especially arguing how he would prefer Megumin over her, thus initiating the debate in the different social networks for the choice. Kazuma does not “take advantage” of the situation with Darkness and Konosuba! fans are furious.
With this new anime season, KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! is being one of the most popular, now with the release of its most recent episode, fans have started a “fight” between the followers of Darkness and Megumin. And the Twitter/X user @Mia_Forger_ shared a video with the original fragment of the episode, which generated all the beginning of the conflict, since it implied that with the blonde girl there will not be, at least for now, reasons on the part of the protagonist to get along in that way.
In this scene, as we mentioned, the protagonists are Darkness and Kazuma, since in the story, she had to return home, since, as part of a debt with a tycoon, she must now marry him, but to do so she had to leave the group of heroes. Worried, they go looking for her, but because of his skills only Kazuma can infiltrate the mansion, where he finally meets Darkness who tells him the situation, but the key moment came when he commented on how this man will take something important from her, taking Kazuma’s hand to her belly, in what would be a scene that would initiate the “delicious”.
But Kazuma not only doesn’t do it, but he drops the phrase about how the “waifu’s” abs are very defined, breaking with the atmosphere, generating a scene that in the end was comical, and it was this that aroused the fury of many: that he didn’t dare to have an encounter with Darkness when everything was a given. However, more controversy was caused by the fact that many fans commented on how he did not move forward with the blonde girl, since he is really in love with Megumin, and that was one of the biggest points that the anime gave to demonstrate this.
The comments in this publication, as well as in the different social networks showed the points of view of many fans, from those who support the idea of how Kazuma did not have the courage to take the step with Darkness when everything was given in the best way, as well as those who lost their idol because of this situation. But undoubtedly what grew the most was the idea of how the protagonist is really only in love with Megumin, being that she was the first one who proposed to him, and also others advanced in the manga who understand the decision not to accept Darkness were present.
Finally this opened another debate, and this was the more voluptuous girls against those with small “attributes”, being that precisely both differ greatly in that aspect, so the fans expressed how Kazuma did not choose Darkness because he really likes the one with small “frame” more. In addition, fans believe that the blonde girl was too much body for Kazuma, that is why he prefers women more similar to Megumin because they do not have these characteristics.
Konosuba! is one of the most representative comedy anime of the last years, since it presents a story full of hilarious situations, as well as characters that became iconic thanks to their personality. In this story we meet Kazuma Satou, who after losing his life is transported to a fantasy world. Here he is blessed with the option of choosing anything to start his new life in this universe, but the choice he makes surprises the water goddess Aqua, who would be in charge of reviving him, and our protagonist chooses her.
Having no other choice but to fulfill her wish, Aqua is forcibly dragged to accompany Kazuma, in a story where we will see them survive in this fantasy world, while meeting new friends like Darkness or Megumin, forming a very special group. But they are not recognized by their abilities, but by the way they interact with each other. Now they will have to fulfill missions of all kinds, not only to become adventurers, but also to earn money and survive.
