October 1st marks a very important date for fans of the popular franchise “KonoSuba: God’s blessing on this wonderful world!” (Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!), because on this specific date, the Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko imprint of the Kadokawa publishing house published the first volume of the original light novel.
That’s why in the official media of the Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko imprint has presented a special illustration to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Konosuba! light novel, which is starring the main characters of the story: the hikkikomori Kazuma Satou, the Goddess of the Cult of Axis Aqua, the archmage of the Crimson Demon Race and explosion-crazed Megumin, and the p*rverted paladin Darkness.
Konosuba! celebrates its 10th anniversary in a special way
Along with this wonderful illustration featuring the main characters of the franchise, the printing house Kadokawa Snekaer Bunko dedicated a few words to the fans of Konosuba! for their enormous support of the work during these 10 years since its first publication:

It should be noted that a few days ago, the official YouTube channel of “KADOKAWAanime” presented a special video for the 10th anniversary of the light novel “KonoSuba: God’s blessing on this wonderful world!“. This special video features narration by voice actor and actresses Jun Fukushima (AV: Kazuma Satou), Sora Amamiya (AV: Aqua), Rie Takahashi (AV: Megumin) and Ai Kayano (Darkness).
It is important to remember that the third season of the anime adaptation of the light novel “KonoSuba: God’s blessing on this wonderful world!” is currently in production. This new installment of the series is scheduled to premiere in Japan in the course of 2024 and will be produced by the DRIVE animation studio.
“Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!“, abbreviated as “Konosuba!“, is an isekai genre light novel authored by Natsume Akatsuki, while the illustrations are by Kurone Mishima. This fascinating light novel began publication under Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko imprint of Kadokawa Publishing House on October 1, 2013, and concluded its exciting journey on May 1, 2020. During this time, Kadokawa Publishing published a total of 17 volumes, consolidating the narrative of this captivating world.
The story has also been translated into manga form, with the visual adaptation by the talented illustrator Masahito Watari. This manga first saw the light of day in the pages of Monthly Dragon Age magazine, under the editorial wing of Fujimi Shobo, starting in September 2014.
The Konosuba! franchise introduces us to Kazuma Satou, our protagonist who on his shopping trip takes a dramatic turn when he sees a girl in danger of being run over by what he believes to be a truck. In a heroic – and unusual – act of bravery, he rushes in to save her, only to die… or at least that’s what he believes.
Contrary to his belief, Kazuma was not run over, but died of fright when he thought a slow-moving tractor was a truck in the middle of a race. This ridiculous ending, so absurd that even the doctors and his own family mocked him, leads our protagonist to wake up in an impressive and unknown room. There, he meets a beautiful goddess, Aqua, who, after mocking his death, offers him an irresistible proposal: a new life in a parallel fantasy universe.
In this new world, Kazuma would have the opportunity to live incredible adventures, face terrifying monsters, learn powerful magics and fight against a demon king, who rules this world. He would have to emerge as a true hero among heroes. And to help him in this epic, Aqua offers him a weapon, skill or object – even a being – to assist him in his journey. Get ready to immerse yourself in this incredible plot full of emotion and humor.
