The popular anime adaptation of the light novel “KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World!” (Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!) is back with a special surprise, as the official media of the TV anime have announced the production of an OVA for its third season.
This news was also confirmed in a live radio show that featured the participation of voice actor and actresses Jun Fukushima (voice of Kazuma Satou), Sora Amamiya (voice of Aqua), Rie Takahashi (voice of Megumin) and Ai Kayano (voice of Darkness). One thing to note is that at the moment no details about the production of the new Konosuba! OVA have been released, however, it is expected that the official media of the series will provide further updates as time goes by.

Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!, abbreviated as Konosuba!, is an isekai genre light novel written by Natsume Akatsuki and illustrated by Kurone Mishima. This fascinating light novel began publication under Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko imprint of Kadokawa Publishing House on October 1, 2013, and concluded its exciting journey on May 1, 2020. During this time, Kadokawa Publishing published a total of 17 volumes, consolidating the narrative of this captivating world.
The story also has a manga adaptation, illustrated by the talented illustrator Masahito Watari. This manga was first published in the pages of Fujimi Shobo’s Monthly Dragon Age magazine in September 2014.
On January 13, 2016, the light novel Konosuba! premiered its anime adaptation, which consists of three seasons (31 episodes in total), a movie and two OVAs. The animation studio Studio Deen was in charge of the production of the first two seasons of the series; however, the third season saw a change of animation studio, with the work falling to DRIVE, who was in charge of producing the third season. The series is available legally on the Crunchyroll platform and has English dubbing.
