On this occasion, a new controversy was generated, since an artist drew this “Latina waifu” in his own way and not all the public liked the idea.
The reinterpretation of the Latin waifu of Kasshoku Musume no latina-san has angered the Japanese public in networks.
Through his Twitter/X profile, the user @Tidal___, shared his own version of “Latina”, the name of the protagonist of this story. In this publication as a description, this artist added “I redesigned Latina-chan”, but apparently this unleashed the fury of many fans, mostly Japanese, who complained that changes had been made to the original design of this sensational Brazilian waifu.
Some of the comments that were made showing dissatisfaction with this work redesigning the waifu of Kasshoku Musume no latina-san were “Let’s see, what did we say last year, the year before that and the year before that about ‘fixing other people’s art’?” “I can’t help but feel disappointed by the morals of someone who is so picky about the nationality of their characters.” Many people were upset that this artist tried to make a new version of the waifu Kasshoku Musume no latina-san, because they thought the original was better.
The artist clarified that at no time was he trying to “fix” or “change” the original art, he simply wanted to draw this waifu in his style. To this, many people, mostly latin people, applauded the talent of this user and praised the great work he had done with this drawing, even saying that this was indeed a latin representation and not the “generic monkey with another skin tone” that had been used for the visual novel.

And some people emphasized that the artist had used the word “redesign” not “improve” or “fix”, so at no point did he disrespect someone else’s art.
