With the announcement of the production of a fourth season of the anime adaptation of the popular romantic comedy manga Kanojo, Okarishimasu (Rent-a-Girlfriend) a few days ago, the Japanese company Animebako has decided to take advantage of this moment of enormous repercussion of the franchise to announce the upcoming realization of a collaboration with the television anime.
This news was announced in the respective official media of the company Animebako, where some information was provided about their upcoming collaboration with the TV anime Kanojo, Okarishimasu. According to the information presented, this event will consist of the opening of a POP UP SHOP where several exclusive products inspired by the characters Chizuru Mizuhara, Mami Nanami, Ruka Sarashina, Sumi Sakurasawa and Mini Yaemori will be exhibited.

Along with this news, the official media of the company Animebako shared to the public a promotional image for this special event with the anime Kanojo, Okarishimasu and highlights the beginning of this collaboration, which is set for August 24 and will end on September 8 this year.
In addition, the products of the characters Chizuru, Mami, Ruka, Sumi and Mini will have a curious illustration and for this special event and taking advantage of the summer season in Japan, they have been dressed with an attractive swimsuit that will seek to captivate and delight the eyes of fans who have these waifus as their favorite characters.
It is worth mentioning that for the moment Animebako did not provide much information about this collaboration and the products that will be exhibited in this special event, although it is expected that with the passing of the weeks new updates will be released. “Kanojo, Okarishimasu“, known as “Rent-a-Girlfriend” in the West, is a popular romantic comedy manga written and illustrated by Reiji Miyajima. The publisher Kodansha began publishing this work in its weekly “Shuukan Shonen Magazine” in July 2017.
The manga is still in publication and Kodansha Publishing has compiled the work into 37 volumes for the time being and a few months ago it was confirmed that the work managed to surpass the incredible figure of 13 million copies in circulation. Due to the excellent reception by the public, an anime adaptation for the manga was announced for production in 2020.
On July 10, 2020, the manga “Rent-a-Girlfriend” premiered its anime series adaptation, consisting of 3 seasons with a total of 36 episodes. The animation studio TMS Entertainment was in charge of the production of the anime under the direction of Kazuomi Koga. Another detail to highlight is that the series is legally available on the Crunchyroll platform and has a English dubbing.
On July 11 of this year, the anime adaptation of the Kanojo manga, Okarishimasu (Rent-a-Girlfriend) announced the production of a fourth season, which is scheduled to premiere in Japan during the year 2025.
Kanojo, Okarishimasu tells the story of Kazuya Kinoshita, a 20-year-old college student who has a wonderful girlfriend: the lovely Mami Nanami. But, suddenly, he no longer has her and, without warning, Mami breaks up with him, leaving him totally broken and alone. Seeking to soothe the pain, he hires a surrogate girlfriend through an online application. His companion is Chizuru Mizuhara, who, thanks to her unparalleled beauty and endearing demeanor, manages to win Kazuya’s affection.
But after reading similar experiences that other customers had had with Chizuru, Kazuya believes that her warm smile and caring personality were nothing more than an act to play with his heart, and he misqualifies her. Angrily, Chizuru reproaches him for his blatant hypocrisy, revealing his true temperament. However, this one-sided exchange is interrupted when Kazuya learns that his grandmother has collapsed.
They rush to the hospital and find Kazuya’s grandmother already in good condition. Puzzled by Chizuru’s presence, she asks who this girl could be. On impulse, Kazuya quickly declares that they are lovers, forcing Chizuru to play the part. But Kazuya still hasn’t gotten over his previous relationship with Mami, how long can this difficult client and his reluctant surrogate girlfriend continue acting?
