Kanojo mo Kanojo Waifus to work as detectives in event
The official media of the Japanese company “CYBIRD ONLINE SHOP” has announced a future collaboration with the TV anime “Kanojo mo Kanojo“, which will consist of the development of a line of products inspired by the characters Saki, Nagisa, Shino and Rika, who will play as talented detectives for the occasion.
It should be noted that, at the moment, many details about this event between the anime series “Kanojo mo Kanojo” and the company “CYBIRD ONLINE SHOP” are unknown. However, it is expected that as the days go by, new updates on this interesting collaboration will be released and, with it, the illustrations of the waifus reimagined as if they were working as detectives will be presented.
The manga “Kanojo mo Kanojo“, also known as “Girlfriend, Girlfriend” in the West, is a romantic comedy genre work written and illustrated by Hiroyuki. Publication of the manga began in Kodansha publisher’s Weekly Shonen Magazine in March 2022 and concluded on May 24, 2023. It is important to note that Kodansha Publishing has collected the manga “Kanojo mo Kanojo” in a total of 16 volumes. Upon reaching its conclusion, the manga managed to reach the figure of 2 million copies in circulation.
Last July 2, 2021, the manga Kanojo mo Kanojo premiered its anime adaptation which was composed of 2 seasons (24 episodes in total). The first season of the anime was produced by the animation studio Tezuka Productions, however, the second season had a change of studio and SynergySP was in charge of its production. The series is available legally through the Crunchyroll platform, who made a dub for the anime.
“Kanojo mo Kanojo” presents us with a story where the complexities of love and relationships are uniquely intertwined. The story follows Naoya Mukai, a young man who finds his love life taking an unexpected turn after his childhood friend, Saki Saki, finally accepts one of his passionate confessions. Naoya’s exhilaration is palpable as he revels in the bliss of having Saki as his girlfriend, and he is willing to go to great lengths to keep their relationship rooted in love and happiness.
However, when a quiet afternoon takes a surprising turn, a new figure enters the picture. Nagisa Minase, a determined and charming young woman, suddenly confesses her feelings to Naoya, despite having been preparing for months. Although Naoya politely rebuffs her advances, Nagisa’s persistent determination piques her interest. Faced with the opportunity to fulfill both Saki and Nagisa’s wishes, Naoya proposes an unusual solution: have a relationship with both girls at the same time, as long as both are fully aware and in agreement.
This bold proposal gives rise to a series of extraordinary and comical situations in the lives of Naoya, Saki and Nagisa. As they attempt to navigate this unconventional relationship, they become entangled in a spiral of hilarious moments and entanglements.
