Renowned Japanese publisher Shueisha surprised fans of the popular action shonen manga written and illustrated by Gege Akutami, Jujutsu Kaisen, by presenting the peculiar cover of the 26th compilation volume of the work. The cover of the new volume of the manga Jujutsu Kaisen was revealed on the official website of the publisher Shueisha, where it was specified that the volume is scheduled to be released for sale in bookstores in Japan on April 4 of this year.
Something to note about this cover of the new volume of Jujutsu Kaisen is that it has attracted the attention of the community and many have been perplexed by the peculiar illustration of Satoru Gojo who, according to some people, could not help but make fun of the appearance of this character on the cover. “Jujutsu Kaisen” is a shonen manga combining action and fantasy, created by Gege Akutami. The literary work began its serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in March 2018 and to date, a total of 25 compilation volumes have been released, in addition to a prequel volume. It is worth noting that a while back, it was announced that the work managed to reach the impressive figure of over 90 million copies in circulation.
On October 2, 2020, the manga Jujutsu Kaisen would release an anime adaptation that consisted of 2 seasons (47 episodes in total) and a movie titled “Jujutsu Kaisen 0”. The anime was produced by the animation studio MAPPA under the direction of Sunghoo Park. The series is available legally on the Crunchyroll platform and has an English dub of the anime.
