During the live broadcast of the MAPPA STAGE 2023, the anime adaptation of the popular manga Jujutsu Kaisen written and illustrated by Gege Akutami, has shown a new and amazing trailer for its highly anticipated second season. In which you can hear a bit of its opening theme titled “Ao no Sumika” performed by the musical artist Kitani Tatsuya.

The second season will be divided into two parts that will air consecutively, which will cover the story arcs of The Star Plasma Vessel and The Shibuya Incident. That is, fans will be able to enjoy the story of Gojo Satoru during his time as a second year student at Jujutsu High School along with his friend Suguru Geto and the strange events that originate later in the Shibuya District.
It should be noted that the second season will be produced by the animation studio MAPPA under the direction of Shota Goshozono replacing Sunghoo Park. The anime is scheduled to air on July 6th of this same year in Japan.

Jujutsu Kaisen is an action and fantasy manga written and illustrated by Gege Akutami. The work began its publication in the magazine Weekly Shonen Jump from Shueisha publisher since March 2018. The manga has 22 compilation volumes (plus 1 prequel volume) published in total, and a few months ago it was reported that the work exceeded 70 million copies in circulation.
On October 2, 2020, the manga Jujutsu Kaisen premiered an anime adaptation that consisted of 24 episodes in total and a movie titled “Jujutsu Kaisen 0”. The animation studio MAPPA was in charge of producing the anime under the direction of Sunghoo Park. The series is available legally on the Crunchyroll platform.
Synopsis of Jujutsu Kaisen:
Giving himself idly to unfounded paranormal activities with the Occult Club, high school student Yuuji Itadori spends his days in the club room or in the hospital, where he visits his bedridden grandfather.
However, this leisurely lifestyle soon takes a strange turn when he unknowingly encounters a cursed object. Triggering a chain of supernatural events, Yuuji finds himself suddenly thrown into the world of curses, terrible beings formed from human malice and negativity, after swallowing said object, which turns out to be a finger belonging to Sukuna Ryoumen’s demon, the “King of Curses.”
Yuuji experiences firsthand the threat that these curses pose to society as he discovers his new powers. Introduced to Tokyo Metropolitan Technical High School Jujutsu, he begins to walk down a path from which he cannot return: the path of a Jujutsu sorcerer.
