Hirohiko Araki, one of the most famous and influential mangakas of our times thanks to his magnanimous work JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure (from now on JoJo’s), which to date already has nine parts, was involved in a curious question. Recently, an image went viral on social networks and, in it, the reflection of the person who took the picture is not visible. So how is this possible?

At first glance, it is nothing more than a photo where we see Hirohiko Araki, creator of the popular JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, wearing a dazzling blue suit while posing elegantly, but if we pay attention to detail and make a slight zoom to the mirror behind him, we can see something out of the ordinary: we can not see who or what took the picture. This generated a question mark that filled many of his fans with doubts, while others took it as a nice anecdote to remember.
This fact encouraged fans to let their imagination run wild and create both amusing and mind-boggling hypotheses about the subject that refers to the work of the mangaka JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. For example, it is believed that this may be possible, due to the fact that the photograph was taken by none other than Hirohiko Araki’s own booth.
This theory has only created creative comments alluding to the supposed Hirohiko Araki’s booth. Here are some of the creative comments made by fans of the work in Watashi Mo’s Facebook post: “Only those of us who have a stand can confirm that it was indeed his stand”, “Stand name: lady gaga paparazzi”, “I always said it, he is a vampire and that’s why he always looks so young. Now he has a stand, this man is amazing”, “It was Heaven’s Door who took the picture”, among many other messages that continued with the jokes.
On the other hand, one section of the comments alludes to several more reasonable possibilities as to how such an event starring Hirohiko Araki could be possible. While another group suggests that this is because a tripod was used to achieve this effect, other possible solutions to this unknown proposed in the comments is that it was necessary to use a self-timer camera to capture the moment and that the image was edited with some image editing program.
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is one of the most popular franchises within the otaku culture, with a solid fan base that follows the misadventures of the Joestar family over several generations. The manga is currently being broadcasted and is in its ninth part. Likewise, this work created by Hirohiko Araki has inspired several anime adaptations, and to date the first six parts of the story have their respective animated adaptation.
