Japan – Otaku is harassed by high school girl!

For all enthusiasts of Japan, anime and manga will know and know very well the term “otaku“, a term that in this side of the world has had some bad reputation, but fortunately this is being overcome, but although this description in the West is purely related to those who have as a hobby the wonderful anime industry, in Japan, the term refers to anyone who has a passionate interest in anything, so if you know someone who is a fervent follower of soccer, racing, literature or cinema, you could say that he or she is an “otaku”.

Today once again Japan shows us its weird and curious side with a situation involving an Otaku, a high school girl and some trains, something that you could imagine would happen in any anime situation and could involve some fan service, comedy and a little bit strange things that no doubt fans love, but today it’s not like that.

An otaku from Japan is harassed for his love of trains and photography!

It turns out that the user on X formerly Twitter named “tetudoub” recounted a peculiar experience through the platform to involving his passion for trains and photography: “While taking pictures of trains with my smartphone, a high school girl suddenly tried to take my smartphone away from me while yelling, “Photography is harmful!”. I calmly approached the security camera and called for help. Soon the police station staff and the police arrived and the situation was resolved.”

As we can, read the boy was photographing trains when he had to live this embarrassing situation derived from taking pictures, something that well many users in Japan commented that it could have been because his activity was misunderstood and the girl assumed he was taking pictures of girls passing by the place without their consent, it is worth remembering and mentioning that the country has a “problem” with “amateurs” taking pictures of girls’ underwear in public spaces.

While others disapproved of the girl’s attitude, considering it “bad taste” and disrespectful, since in these situations it is wrong to have taken the phone number of the Japanese train user, and instead she should have informed the police so that they could check whether it was a legal or illegal situation. While other users of the platform simply fell into mockery towards the affected person for his peculiar taste towards trains.

No doubt we can say that being otaku still has its disadvantages in Japan and anywhere in the world, but fortunately this trend is going down driven by a greater number of people who become fans of anime and manga, although it is clear that we must say that there is a sector of otaku that can still become a little “disturbing” but ultimately these do not represent neither the opinions nor the actions of the majority of fans of this wonderful industry that has given us so many good stories for a long time.
