Once again, the age-old debate about people’s taste for “l0lis” in Japan has once again become a hot topic on social media, specifically on Twitter/X. As everyone knows, this has become a very controversial topic on the internet, either because some parties advocate that it is only fiction, while other positions believe that this is something more than that and that it hides unethical and very questionable intentions.
In Japan, the debate on “l0lis” is reignited
Not long ago, a post by a user named “YS_GPCR” dating back to the year 2021 made some noise again on the platform called X, because incredibly the peculiar arguments of this “L0lis” enthusiast have once again resonated and made sense in the minds of many in Japan.
It turns out that this user a few years ago exposed that the stigma attached to those who are attracted to this type of girls were unfounded by a group of older girls who resented society and men who preferred to relate to younger women.
The core of their argument was that these “L-girls” were mature and aware enough to make a decision about who to relate to, to have any approach with someone of the sentimental type. He even gave as an example that the same women who opposed this, at that age Japanese society already considered them as people capable of reasoning, making decisions and with a well-established judgment, coming to value positively their opinion in any other matter except for this particular one. We are talking about having a romantic relationship with an older person.
With the above argument, the user wondered why it was so stigmatized for someone to be a “fan” or be attracted to these “L0lis“. The answer he came up with was that this was because if it was socially accepted, older women would be at a clear disadvantage to find a partner, since the vast majority of men would want a younger partner, so this group of “resentful girls” as he called them, pushed the argument that it was not right to have this type of relationship to protect themselves from being left behind socially and sentimentally.
This post became a fixture in discussion forums across Japan, attracting hundreds of users willing to enter the debate with many arguments for and against. Those who were in favor of this “hypothesis” mentioned that it made “a lot of sense”, since nowadays there were many girls who ridiculed men for having partners younger than them, even without being “L0lis” themselves. But evidently there were more comments against it in which several aspects were questioned.
One of them was that this could not be so, regardless of whether there really was a group of “angry girls” with men, because it transgressed the morality of Japan and that it was an argument that tried to justify questionable and illegal behavior.
