Xbox has been characterized for quite some time now for promoting titles from independent developers, including menus in the Microsoft Store on the console and on the official website a very curious link titled iD@ Xbox, which are those indie titles in that ecosystem. Although there were no great expectations for this second Showcase sponsored by IGN, last Monday, February 24 at 12 pm and aware that it would be compared to the Developer Direct on January 27, where DOOM: The Dark Ages was presented, Xbox ventured to launch this event that left nothing to be desired.

Revenge of the Savage Planet llega a Game Pass… Próximamente
Revenge of the Savage Planet was originally released for the Xbox One in 2024 and recently included for the X|S Series versions. The purpose of the game is loot, discovering secrets in a vast world while constantly adventuring and having a lot of action against creatures that stalk us. In addition, it contains realistic scenes and unprecedented weapons. The video game will enter the Game Pass repertoire, however, its entry date is not foreseen.
Echo Weaver
Echo Weaver sorprendió al ser un emocionante juego de plataforma para los fans del género “Metroidvania”, además de ser un título de aventura clásico que no copia elementos de otros títulos, sino que muestra sus peculiaridades, incluyendo bucles temporales que serán el arma principal. En el avance se muestran también elementos de un rogue, donde nuestro protagonista intenta escapar de un laberinto que se cae en pedazos y, lo mejor, es que estará disponible en el día uno para los usuarios del servicio de Game Pass.
Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault
After 7 years, the second part of one of the best titles of 11 bit Studios arrives: Moonlighter 2. This title, besides including rogue elements, is one of the references in its genre due to its world and character complexity. In the first part, we play the role of a merchant who tries to transcend and be a hero and an adventurer, combined with looting. The second part retains these elements and the protagonist, but adds impressive graphics that surpass those of its predecessor. Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, will be available on Game Pass at some point in 2025.
Hotel Barcelona
Hotel Barcelona was one of the previews presented at the iD@ Xbox FanFest Showcase. Although we already knew about this title thanks to other 2024 events, the indie takes us to a luxurious hotel of yesteryear that is haunted. With a setting that combines horror movies like Psycho or The Shinning and combining it with a platformer, psychedelic and too colorful game style, where we will be in the role of Justine, a woman dealing with Dr. Carnival, a serial killer who lives inside her. Hotel Barcelona will be the first big action-horror game to be released somewhere in 2025.
Balatro available on Game Pass
No, it’s not just another gimmick available at Balatro, this time they didn’t play with us and spectacularly announced its arrival to Xbox Game Pass in the most impressive teaser of the event. After earning the respect of gamers and developers for its originality, creativity and innovation and being nominated in multiple categories at The Game Awards 2024 which included “Best Independent Game” and “Game of the Year”. Balatro is now part of the huge Game Pass catalog and is available for those who did not have the opportunity to review this addictive roguelike that, as a curiosity, was developed by a single person and has already sold 3 million copies.
Tanuki Pon’s Summer
A game for young and old available soon in the Xbox ecosystem. In Tanuki Pon’s Summer you are a small mammal referring to Japanese culture, whose job is to be a mail delivery boy. However, it is summer and the protagonist of the story decides to find some other jobs and thus gradually earn more money. The user’s task will be to exercise the Tanuki’s skills until he becomes the best at everything. With impressive graphics, Pon’s Summer will be available on the Game Pass service, most likely in the second half of 2025.
Descenders NEXT
Next will be a completely separate game from Descenders although it will keep the essence of “extreme sports” taking it to a larger scale. After 6 years, X-SPORTS lovers and those who got hooked on the first title finally have good news. It comes as another of the best announcements of the iD@ Xbox FanFest Showcase not only because of the intensity of the trailer, as it has very characteristic extreme sports music in the background, but also because of what it symbolizes for users and because it will be one of the first in this category and with this sublime graphic level. Descenders NEXT will be released on Game Pass on April 9.
Lies of P: Overture
Lies Of P was the best Souls of 2023 for its impressive narrative and challenging gameplay in an unprecedented story adapted to the adventures of Geppetto and Pinocchio. After almost no news, Lies Of P and after gathering a good amount of fans, arrives 2 years later its DLC: Overture that had already been shown in previous events, but in this iD@ Xbox FanFest Showcase we were given more details of the story, revealing that it will be a prequel to the events of the gothic world of Krat. This time having the legendary stalker as an ally. The teaser shows the same stunning graphics and a summer 2025 release date.
