The publisher Shueisha has announced that the work will resume publication next October 7 in this year’s 45th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. It should be noted that this long-awaited news was also confirmed in the most recent edition of “JUMP PRESS”, which was broadcast on Weekly Shonen Jump’s official YouTube channel on August 19.

The Hunter x Hunter manga will resume publication on October 7.
Let’s remember that the Hunter x Hunter manga entered an indefinite pause last January 2023 and this was due to certain health problems that its author, Yoshihiro Togashi, is going through. Because of this, the publisher Shueisha declared that the Hunter x Hunter manga would no longer have a weekly publication in the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine.
The Hunter x Hunter manga is written and illustrated by Yoshihiro Togashi, and began its publication in Shuukan Shonen Jump magazine of Shueisha publishing house in March 1998. The manga has 37 collected volumes in total and is still in serialization.
On March 31, 2021, the Hunter x Hunter manga would premiere its anime adaptation, which consisted of a total of 62 episodes. The animation studio Nippon Animation was in charge of the production of the series under the direction of Kazuhiro Furuhashi.
On October 2, 2011, the Hunter x Hunter manga premiered a second anime adaptation, which focused on being more faithful to the original content and consisted of a total of 148 episodes. In addition, the animation studio Madhouse was in charge of the production of the series under the direction of Hiroshi Koujina, and it is legally available through the Crunchyroll platform.
The Hunter x Hunter anime has the following description: Hunters engage in dangerous tasks, from traversing the world’s uncharted territories to tracking down rare objects and monsters. Before becoming a Hunter, one must pass the Hunter Exam, a high-stakes selection process in which most applicants end up disabled or, worse, deceased.
The ambitious participants who defy the notorious exam carry their own reason. What drives 12-year-old Gon Freecss is to find Ging, his father and also a hunter. Believing he will be reunited with his father by becoming a Hunter, Gon takes the first step to walk the same path.
During the Hunter exam, Gon befriends medical student Leorio Paladiknight, the vengeful Kurapika and former assassin Killua Zoldyck. Although their motives differ greatly, they are united by a common goal and begin to enter a dangerous world.
