With the release of the spin-off of the High School DxD light novel, entitled Junior High School DxD, fans of this popular work have been excited for the return of the franchise in this new format. Despite not focusing on the main characters, this new story, overseen by the author of the original light novel, Ichiei Ishibumi, was promised to leave fans more than thrilled.
It seems that fans have received the Junior High School DxD spin-off with great enthusiasm. The official media of the multimedia franchise have announced that this work will be a literary series, so new volumes will be published by Fujimi Shobo publishing house. Another detail to note is that for the moment no information has been released about the release of the new volume of the light novel Junior High School DxD, however, it was announced that more updates will be announced soon.
High School DxD spin-off is a total success in Japan
The light novel “Junior High School DxD” is supervised by Ichiei Ishibumi and will be written by Rippu Shinonome, while the illustrations will be handled by Miyama-Zero, the illustrator of the original light novel. In addition, it should be noted that the first volume of the work was released by Fujimi Shobo Publishing House on May 17 of this year, and it consisted of a total of 342 pages.

A new student knocks on the doors of Kuoh Academy High School. Zekka is a descendant of Miyamoto Musashi and possesses the sacred sword-shaped weapon “Tensei”. His goal is to make friends at Komao Academy. A new ‘DxD’ series starring unique friends and Rias and other senior high school students!
High School DxD is a light novel that combines fantasy elements with ecchi and harem genres. It was written by Ichiei Ishibumi and illustrated by Miyama-Zero. The work first saw the light of day in September 2008 under the Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint of Fujimi Shobo Publishing House, and reached its conclusion in March 2018. Subsequently, a sequel titled “Shin High School DxD” was released in July 2018.
This story was also adapted into manga, with illustrations by Hiroji Mishima. The manga was published in Fujimi Shobo’s Dragon Age magazine starting in July 2010 and came to an end in February 2018.
On January 6, 2012, the light novel “High School DxD” made the leap to the screen with its anime adaptation. This adaptation consisted of a total of 4 seasons, totaling 49 episodes, in addition to several specials and 4 OVAs. The animation studio TNK was in charge of producing the first three seasons of the series, while the animation studio Passione took the reins for the fourth season.
