Although Christmas may be behind us, the otaku community continues to share various illustrations with this theme. In this context, it is not surprising that Rias Gremory, emblematic character of the TV anime “High School DxD” and one of the most popular in the industry, has also received this type of Christmas-themed illustrations.

The Twitter/X platform user known as “Waifu Love” (@WaifuChungus) was responsible for sharing this curious version of Rias Gremory. It is important to note that the illustration in question was generated by an Artificial Intelligence and fans of this waifu have expressed their astonishment and admiration at seeing how she is depicted in a Santa Claus outfit, greatly highlighting her imposing physical attributes.
“High School DxD” is a light novel that combines fantasy elements with ecchi and harem genres. It was written by Ichiei Ishibumi and illustrated by Miyama-Zero. The work first saw the light of day in September 2008 under the Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint of Fujimi Shobo Publishing House, and reached its conclusion in March 2018. Subsequently, a sequel titled “Shin High School DxD” was released in July 2018.
This story was also adapted into manga, with illustrations by Hiroji Mishima. The manga was published in Fujimi Shobo Publishing House’s Dragon Age magazine starting in July 2010 and came to an end in February 2018.
On January 6, 2012, the light novel “High School DxD” made the jump to the screen with its anime adaptation. This adaptation consisted of a total of 4 seasons, totaling 49 episodes, in addition to having several specials and 4 OVAs. The animation studio TNK was in charge of producing the first three seasons of the series, while the animation studio Passione took the reins for the fourth season.
“High School DxD” introduces us to Issei Hyoudou, a high school student portrayed as a pervert with no direction in life, whose dreams of having a harem lead him to spy on women. However, his life takes an unexpected turn when a beautiful girl asks him out on a date, only to reveal his true identity as a fallen angel and brutally murder him.
Fortunately, the story doesn’t end there, as Issei receives a second chance thanks to Rias Gremory, a senior student and first-class demon, who decides to revive him as her servant. Thus, Issei embarks on an exciting journey as he is recruited into the school’s mysterious Occult Research Club.
In this fascinating new chapter of his life, Issei must face a world full of angels and demons, where training and combat are commonplace. As she adapts to her new role and immerses herself in a sphere full of dangers and mysteries, Issei will experience exciting adventures and fun (and somewhat racy!) moments with her new and peculiar companions.
The story not only embraces the realm of the fantastic and the supernatural, but will also explore the duality between innocence and seduction. Issei must keep his new life a secret from his friends and family, creating an intricate balance between his everyday reality and the exciting and dangerous journeys that await him in this enigmatic universe.
