Hell’s Paradise (Jigokuraku) had a major announcement at this year’s Jump Festa mega event, and to everyone’s surprise, a video game adaptation of the anime, which is very popular in the communities, was presented. However, for Hell’s Paradise fans, the arrival of the video game titled “Jigokuraku: Paradise Battle”, with a release date of 2025, promises a lot. This game will be a free to play survival RPG and will be available for mobile devices (iOS and Android) and PC, as any free game is expected to have some kind of monetization, but hopefully this is not aggressive or necessary to advance in the game.
Hell’s Paradise will have its own video game
The development of the game “Jigokuraku: Paradise Battle” is in the hands of Good Smile Company, most fans will recognize this company mostly because they are responsible for making the famous figures in Nendoroid version. In addition to this it was reported that the game will be supervised by no more and no less than the MAPPA studio that was responsible for the anime adaptation of the series, which guarantees fans that the game will have a fidelity to the original material and we hope it will also have a gameplay that meets our expectations.
To raise the hype level, Akira Kindaichi, who is the screenwriter of the anime, will oversee the development of the game’s scenarios, as well as the adaptation of the script, this to assure fans that the narrative part of this title will be as coherent as possible and without straying from the original material. Another interesting aspect is that the music will be in charge of Yoshiaki Dewa together with ZENTA, who were also in charge of the anime’s ost, as in any adaptation of titles based on this type of series, it is expected to hear some of the anime’s ost at key moments of the game.
The announcement of “Jigokuraku: Paradise Battle” has generated certain expectations among fans, the most important thing is that it is expected to capture the dark essence and the atmosphere of danger of the original work. As mentioned, the game will be of the survival RPG genre, which may suggest that we may be facing a game that is either a card game or turn-based battles in the style of the classic Final Fantasy.
