Hades 2, developed and edited by Supergiant Games, has just announced that the long-awaited sequel to one of the best titles of 2020 is now available for all PC users through Steam and Epic Game Store. The early access roguelike set in the Greek underworld promises to triple the amount of situations and fun that the original brought us, as well as offering a stream of updates that add new content and features for the final release.
A GOD-LIKE roguelike! – Hades 2 is now available on PC
Talking about Hades (video game available for Nintendo Switch, PC, MacOS, Xbox and PlayStation) is to go back to an incredible launch in 2020, which presented us with a title of the roguelike genre capable of grouping the frenetic of its playable archetype with the narrative of an RPG. Although it may seem impossible, the team behind well-known indies such as Bastion and Transistor had already been testing this idea, which they managed to complete with great success after being in the early access stage for several years.
Rooms full of enemies, dialogues full of references to the Greek culture and a gameplay capable of causing addiction due to its speed, ease and complexity, made the “epic” of the prince of the underworld quickly became one of the references of the genre in recent years and was nominated for the category of Game of the Year during the Game Awards.
This time, Hades 2 will star the princess of the underworld, who will have the mission to explore the same world that Zagreo traversed in his mission to learn more about his connections with the beginning of witchcraft. In this way, Supergiant Games shared a brief synopsis of what we will be able to enjoy in the coming months:
The studio’s first sequel promises to build on the best aspects that made up the original dungeon crawler god-like roguelike in a new action-packed adventure and endless gameplay inspired by the mythology of the Greek Underworld.
Similarly, the developers shared, through the Steam and Epic stores, the key aspects that we will be able to enjoy in the early access of Hades 2:
- A fight beyond the Underworld: As the princess of this place, you must explore a much larger world, defeating the hosts of the Titan of Time.
- Master the arts of sorcery and dark magic: Imbue your weapons with ancient magic and let nothing stand in your way. In addition, receive the blessing of the gods and develop your ancestral powers in an unlimited way.
- Supergiant’s signature style: Enjoy a superb setting fused with highly responsive storytelling made in Supergiant. Hand-painted environments, real-time 3D characters and a masterful soundtrack will make this world come alive once again.
