Manga is one of the most consumed media, that is why the variety of genres must be very large so that fans can choose from many options, and undoubtedly the one that stands out among these is the H, where nothing is left to the imagination. But what many do not know is that this is not only popular, but it leaves a lot of money, being that some time ago an interview showed an author of H manga whose dream is to work in works of the shonen genre, but that with the H has managed to obtain a great economic income.
The H genre in manga was very fruitful for this author.
At the end of November, the Japanese news channel ANN News shared a video on its official YouTube account in which we could see the story of different mangakas and the dreams they had for their future in the world of illustration and creation of works. And what surprised many was one story in particular, that of Match Hakase, a 25-year-old author who dreams of having his own work in the shonen genre published all over the world, but who currently and from his room is dedicated to creating H-manga.
And although the current genre in which he is working is very different from what he aspires to in the future, what can be confirmed is that writing this type of stories has left him a good amount of money and more if we take into account that he has only two works published so far. His best known work is Jinken Hakai Koujou!, which he released in the year 2023 and which has already sold more than 96,000 copies in a recognized store dedicated to the sale of this type of work. This would have given him a profit of approximately $315,000 dollars.
These figures are confirmed in the same report as something that is not common to see in the world of H-manga, and although it is a very popular genre, the competition is just as great, so standing out among so many works is considered a fascinating achievement, something that Hakase achieved with his work. On the other hand, his second work is a sequel to his first work, which so far has sold a total of 15,000 copies, a number that does not compare with the first manga, but is still incredible.
As we mentioned, although Hakase managed to get a lot of money with these works, what he really dreams is to have his own franchise in the shonen genre, even thinking of leaving the H, something surprising if we take into account that with these works he managed to get a lot of money. Now we will only have to wait to know if he will really achieve his dream or if he will have to cling even more to the H manga that has given him so much profit in a short time.
